"Origin is future" The Burghaun Local History Museum in the "Haus Hölzerkopf" makes an important contribution to preserving and presenting the cultural and historical heritage of the market town of Burghaun. With this museum, the municipality is fulfilling its special responsibility and obligation to explore, develop, and preserve the history of our homeland. "Only those who know their history and are aware of it can act responsibly in the future." One of the aims of the museum is to prevent valuable historical Burghaun relics that have a direct connection to Burghaun in terms of location, history or ideology from disappearing into private collections, museums or archives. Burghaun finds must be on display in Burghaun so that they can be experienced locally, not only by our guests, but also by the people who live here. One example is the sword of the "Warrior of Burghaun": this recent discovery, which has attracted interest and recognition far beyond the community's borders, should definitely be returned to the community. To this end, it was essential that the valuable find could be safely stored and displayed in a suitable space in the future. The local history museum in the "Haus Hölzerkopf" is intended to be the central starting point for further exploration tours through the community and the region. For example, for a signposted tour through historic Burghaun, a visit to the Jewish cemetery, or other museums in the region. The museum concept was developed with the support of the neighboring town of Hünfeld. Certified museologist Ute Schneider provided both conceptual and scientific support for the development and design of the collection. After completing the work, she aptly stated: "The future local history museum in Haus Hölzerkopf on Moorstraße will be a valuable gem for Burghaun, which will also increase the attractiveness of the market town as a destination for vacationers and day trippers. This will also apply to school classes, not only those from the municipality."
« L'origine, c'est l'avenir » Le musée régional de Burghaun, situé dans la « Haus Hölzerkopf », contribue de manière importante à la préservation et à la présentation du patrimoine culturel et historique de la commune de Burghaun. Avec ce musée, la commune assume sa responsabilité et son obligation particulières d'étudier, de mettre en valeur et de préserver l'histoire de notre région. « Seuls ceux qui connaissent leur histoire et en sont conscients peuvent agir de manière responsable pour l'avenir. » Le musée a notamment pour objectif d'empêcher que de précieuses reliques historiques de Burghaun, qui ont un lien direct avec Burghaun sur le plan géographique, historique ou idéologique, ne disparaissent dans des collections privées, des musées ou des archives. Pour cela, il était indispensable que cette précieuse trouvaille puisse à l'avenir être conservée et présentée en toute sécurité dans un espace approprié. Le musée régional situé dans la « Haus Hölzerkopf » doit être le point de départ central pour d'autres visites exploratoires de la commune et de la région. Par exemple, pour une visite guidée à travers le Burghaun historique, pour une visite du cimetière juif ou d'autres musées de la région. Le concept du musée a été développé avec le soutien de la ville voisine de Hünfeld. Ute Schneider, muséologue diplômée, a accompagné la mise en place et la conception de la collection tant sur le plan conceptuel que scientifique. „Herkunft ist Zukunft“ Das Heimatmuseum Burghaun im „Haus Hölzerkopf“ ist ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Sicherung und Präsentation des kulturellen und historischen Erbes der Marktgemeinde Burghaun. Mit diesem Museum stellt sich die Kommune ihrer besonderen Verantwortung und Verpflichtung zur Ergründung, Erschließung und Wahrung für die Geschichte unserer Heimat. „Nur wer seine Geschichte kennt, und sich ihrer bewusst ist, kann verantwortungsvoll in die Zukunft hinein handeln.“ Mit dem Museum soll unter anderem verhindert werden, dass wertvolle historische Burghauner Relikte in Privatsammlungen, Museen oder Archiven verschwinden, die räumlich, historisch oder ideell einen direkten Bezug zu Burghaun haben. Burghauner Fundstücke müssen in Burghaun zu sehen sein und damit vor Ort erfahrbar sein, nicht nur für unsere Gäste, sondern insbesondere auch für die hier lebenden Menschen. Als Beispiel sei das Schwert des „Kriegers von Burghaun" genannt: Diese jüngste Entdeckung, die weit über die Gemeindegrenzen hinaus Interesse und Anerkennung gefunden hat, sollte auf alle Fälle wieder in die Gemeinde zurückkehren. Hierfür war es unabdingbar, dass der wertvolle Fund zukünftig in einem angemessenen Raum sicher aufbewahrt und präsentiert werden konnte. Das Heimatmuseum im „Haus Hölzerkopf“ soll zentraler Ausgangspunkt für weitere Erkundungstouren durch die Gemeinde und die Region sein. Zum Beispiel für einen ausgeschilderten Rundgang durch das historische Burghaun, für einen Besuch auf dem jüdischen Friedhof oder zu anderen Museen der Region. Das Museumkonzept wurde mit Unterstützung der Nachbarstadt Hünfeld entwickelt. Diplom-Museologin Ute Schneider hat sowohl konzeptionell als auch wissenschaftlich den Aufbau und die Gestaltung der Sammlung begleitet. Sie formulierte nach Abschluss der Arbeiten treffend: „Das künftige Heimatmuseum im Haus Hölzerkopf in der Moorstraße wird für Burghaun ein wertvolles Schmuckstück werden, das auch die Attraktivität der Markgemeinde als Ziel für Urlauber und Tagesausflügler erhöhen wird. Auch für Schulklassen wird dies zutreffen, nicht nur für die Schulen aus der Gemeinde.“
