Der kleine Ort liegt im Tal der Schwarzen Sorbitz inmitten hoher Wälder auf einer Höhe von 420 m ü. NN. Im Jahr 1370 wurde er erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Gut ausgeschilderte Wanderwege und die herrliche Landschaft machen diesen Ort zu einem kleinen Naturparadies. Die Meura-Rohrbacher Heide zählt zu den schönsten Naturschutzgebieten in Thüringen. Auffällig ist das überaus gepflegte Ortsbild, das Rohrbach 1993 den 1. Platz im Kreiswettbewerb um das schönste Dorf einbrachte. Eine liebevoll eingerichtete Heimatstube sowie die historische Apotheke mit Laboratorium zeigen auch hier die Verbindung zum Olitätenhandel. Den Kräuterlikör, nach Originalrezeptur von 1750 hergestellt, kann man verkosten und auch kaufen. Eine Kneipptretanlage, ein herrlicher Abenteuerspielplatz mit Minigolf und ein Wildgehege laden außerdem zum Verweilen in Rohrbach ein.

Le petit village est situé dans la vallée de la Sorbitz noire, au milieu de hautes forêts, à une altitude de 420 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Elle a été mentionnée pour la première fois dans un document en 1370. Des sentiers de randonnée bien balisés et la beauté du paysage font de cet endroit un petit paradis de la nature. La Meura-Rohrbacher Heide est l'une des plus belles réserves naturelles de Thuringe. L'aspect bien entretenu du village est frappant, et en 1993, Rohrbach a remporté la première place du concours du district pour le plus beau village. Une salle d'histoire locale meublée avec amour et la pharmacie historique avec laboratoire montrent également le lien avec le commerce des olives ici. La liqueur aux herbes, fabriquée selon la recette originale de 1750, peut être dégustée et également achetée. Une installation Kneipptret, une merveilleuse aire de jeux d'aventure avec un golf miniature et une réserve de jeux invitent également les visiteurs à s'attarder à Rohrbach.

The small place lies in the valley of the black Sorbitz in the midst of high forests on a height of 420 m above sea level. It was first mentioned in a document in 1370. A lovingly furnished local history room as well as the historic pharmacy with laboratory also show the connection to the olives trade here. A Kneipptret facility, a wonderful adventure playground with miniature golf and a game preserve also invite you to linger in Rohrbach.
