About: Gemeinde Schönhagen

Die Gemeinde Schönhagen im thüringischen Landkreis Eichsfeld befindet sich im Tal zwischen den beiden Gemeinden Birkenfelde und Röhrig. Zu den besonderen Sehenswürdigkeiten zählen die St. Michaels Kirche und eine Feldkapelle auf einer Anhöhe am Wege nach Röhrig. Als Projekt  Kuhmuhne Schönhagen e.V. entstand auf dem Vereinsgelände ein Schaugarten. Hauptziel dieses Projektes ist möglichst viele ursprüngliche Kräuter, Gemüse und Gewürze anzubauen. Inzwischen hat man bereits über 600 meist „vergessene“ Nutz- und Zierpflanzenarten gezeigt. Die Anlage wird auch als  „Dreschflegel-Schaugarten“ bezeichnet, da die Samen zum großen Teil aus der ökologischen Saatgutvermehrung der Dreschflegel-Saatgut-GBR stammen.

La commune de Schönhagen, dans le district d'Eichsfeld en Thuringe, se trouve dans la vallée entre les deux communes de Birkenfelde et Röhrig. Parmi les curiosités particulières, on compte l'église St. Michaels et une chapelle de campagne sur une colline sur le chemin de Röhrig. Le projet Kuhmuhne Schönhagen e. V. a permis de créer un jardin d'exposition sur le terrain de l'association. L'objectif principal de ce projet est de cultiver le plus grand nombre possible d'herbes, de légumes et d'épices originaux. Entre-temps, plus de 600 espèces de plantes utiles et ornementales, pour la plupart "oubliées", ont déjà été présentées. L'installation est également appelée "jardin d'exposition de Dreschflegel", car les graines proviennent en grande partie de la multiplication écologique des semences de Dreschflegel-Saatgut-GBR.

The community of Schönhagen in the Eichsfeld district of Thuringia is located in the valley between the two communities of Birkenfelde and Röhrig. Among the special sights are St. Michael's Church and a field chapel on a hill on the way to Röhrig. As a project Kuhmuhne Schönhagen e.V. a show garden was created on the club grounds. The main goal of this project is to grow as many original herbs, vegetables and spices as possible. In the meantime, more than 600 mostly "forgotten" useful and ornamental plant species have been shown. The plant is also called "Dreschflegel show garden", because the seeds come to a large extent from the ecological seed propagation of the Dreschflegel-Saatgut-GBR.
