Die Sonderausstellung „Die Partei hat immer recht. Die SED im Alltag der DDR“ zeigt, wie tief die Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands in das Leben der Menschen eingriff. Die Schau verdeutlicht, dass die SED weit mehr war als eine politische Organisation: Sie bestimmte Politik, Wirtschaft und Justiz ebenso wie den privaten Alltag.  Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Mechanismen ihrer Herrschaft – ideologische Schulung, Kontrolle, Repression und das ständige Einfordern von Loyalität. Auf 20 Tafeln macht die Ausstellung sichtbar, wie die Partei ihr Machtmonopol mit Hilfe von Polizei, Justiz und Staatssicherheit absicherte und zugleich ein System sozialer Abhängigkeiten und Gewöhnung schuf. Zugleich thematisiert sie die Widersprüche des Lebens in der Diktatur zwischen Überzeugung und Anpassung, Idealismus und Opportunismus. 

L'exposition temporaire « Le parti a toujours raison. Le SED dans la vie quotidienne en RDA » montre à quel point le Parti socialiste unifié d'Allemagne intervenait profondément dans la vie des gens. L'exposition montre clairement que le SED était bien plus qu'une organisation politique : il déterminait la politique, l'économie et la justice, ainsi que la vie privée quotidienne. Elle se concentre sur les mécanismes de son pouvoir : formation idéologique, contrôle, répression et exigence constante de loyauté. À travers 20 panneaux, l'exposition montre comment le parti a assuré son monopole du pouvoir avec l'aide de la police, de la justice et de la sécurité d'État, tout en créant un système de dépendances sociales et d'accoutumance. Elle aborde également les contradictions de la vie sous la dictature, entre conviction et conformisme, idéalisme et opportunisme.

The special exhibition "The Party is Always Right: The SED in Everyday Life in the GDR" shows how deeply the Socialist Unity Party of Germany intervened in people's lives. The exhibition makes it clear that the SED was much more than a political organization: it determined politics, the economy, and the judiciary, as well as private everyday life. The focus is on the mechanisms of its rule – ideological training, control, repression, and the constant demand for loyalty. On 20 panels, the exhibition shows how the party secured its monopoly on power with the help of the police, the judiciary, and the Stasi, while at the same time creating a system of social dependencies and habituation. At the same time, it addresses the contradictions of life under a dictatorship between conviction and conformity, idealism and opportunism.
