La maison d'habitation et de tissage de l'artiste du Bauhaus d'Erfurt Margaretha Reichardt, construite en 1939, est un monument technique depuis 1987. Après ses études à Dessau, l'artiste a exploité à partir de 1933 un atelier de tissage manuel, a formé plus de 50 tisserands et a transmis une éducation intellectuelle et culturelle dans l'esprit du Bauhaus. L'atelier au sous-sol abrite des métiers à tisser manuels en état de marche, sur lesquels Christine Leister, élève de Reichardt, fait aujourd'hui une démonstration de l'art du tissage manuel et produit des tissus d'après des modèles historiques. Une visite de la maison et de l'atelier est possible sur rendez-vous téléphonique. Pour les groupes à partir de 5 personnes, il est demandé de s'inscrire à plus long terme. Les animaux accompagnant les personnes handicapées peuvent être amenés.

The home and weaving house of Erfurt Bauhaus artist Margaretha Reichardt, built in 1939, has been a technical monument since 1987. Following her studies in Dessau, the artist ran a hand-weaving workshop from 1933 onwards, training over 50 weavers and imparting an intellectual and cultural education in the spirit of the Bauhaus. The basement workshop houses working hand looms, on which Reichardt's pupil Christine Leister today demonstrates the art of hand weaving and produces fabrics based on historical patterns. A tour of the house and workshop is available by appointment. For groups of 5 or more, longer-term registration is required. Animals may be brought in for disabled visitors.

Das 1939 errichtete Wohn- und Weberhaus der Erfurter Bauhaus-Künstlerin Margaretha Reichardt ist seit 1987 technisches Denkmal. Nach ihrem Studium in Dessau betrieb die Künstlerin ab 1933 eine Handweberei-Werkstatt, bildete über 50 Weber aus und vermittelte eine geistig-kulturelle Bildung im Sinne des Bauhauses. Die Werkstatt im Untergeschoss beherbergt funktionstüchtige Handwebstühle, an denen die Reichardt-Schülerin Christine Leister heute die Kunst des Handwebens vorführt und Stoffe nach historischen Vorbildern produziert. Eine Besichtigung des Hauses und der Werkstatt ist nach telefonischer Voranmeldung möglich. Bei Gruppen ab 5 Personen wird um eine längerfristige Anmeldung gebeten. Behindertenbegleittiere dürfen mitgebracht werden.
