About: Gernrode bei Leinefelde

Gernrode mit seinen 1677 Einwohnern liegt in der Mitte des Eichsfelder Kessels, breitet sich zu beiden Seiten der Wipper aus und zählt zu den fünf größten Dörfern des Landkreise Eichsfeld. Der Ortsname läßt darauf schließen, das der Ort in der Siedlungsperiode vom 8. bis 12. Jahrhundert gegründet wurde. Der Nachweis einer Ersterwähnung wird aber erst belegt durch eine Urkunde vom Staatsarchiv Würzburg aus dem Jahr 1365. So kann Gernrode im Jahr 2015 das Jubiläum der 650 Jahre Ersterwähnung begehen zu dessen Anlass eine Ortschronik in Buchform erscheinen wird. Sehenswert ist eine beträchtliche Anzahl von zum Teil gut erhaltenen Fachwerkgebäuden, Hofstrukturen und Fachwerkstraßenensembles.

Gernrode with its 1677 inhabitants lies in the middle of the Eichsfeld basin, spreads out on both sides of the Wipper and is one of the five largest villages in the Eichsfeld district. The name of the village suggests that it was founded in the settlement period from the 8th to the 12th century. The proof of a first mentioning is however only occupied by a document of the state archives Würzburg from the year 1365. Thus Gernrode can celebrate in the year 2015 the anniversary of the 650 years first mentioning to whose cause a local chronicle in book form will appear. Worth seeing is a considerable number of partly well-preserved half-timbered buildings, courtyard structures and half-timbered street ensembles.

Gernrode, avec ses 1677 habitants, se trouve au centre du cirque d'Eichsfeld, s'étend des deux côtés de la rivière Wipper et compte parmi les cinq plus grands villages de l'arrondissement d'Eichsfeld. Le nom du village laisse supposer qu'il a été fondé pendant la période de colonisation du 8ème au 12ème siècle. La preuve d'une première mention n'est toutefois attestée que par un document des archives d'État de Würzburg datant de 1365. Ainsi, Gernrode pourra fêter en 2015 les 650 ans de sa première mention, à l'occasion desquels une chronique locale sera publiée sous forme de livre. Un nombre considérable de bâtiments à colombages, de structures de fermes et d'ensembles de rues à colombages, en partie bien conservés, valent la peine d'être vus.
