About: Gemeinde Mackenrode

Mackenrode est situé à 9,5 km au sud-ouest de Heiligenstadt, sur le ruisseau ou "Beeke", qui est appelé "le Walse" à Dietzenrode et forme la frontière avec la Hesse. Après avoir passé la légendaire Kronenmühle (qui est toujours en activité aujourd'hui), la route monte vers Mackenrode, qui est l'un des plus beaux villages d'Eichsfeld en raison de son emplacement impressionnant et de son apparence de village bien entretenu, à travers un paysage de vallée considéré comme la "Eichsfeldische Schweiz" (Suisse d'Eichsfeld).

Mackenrode is situated 9.5 km southwest of Heiligenstadt, on the stream or "Beeke", which is called "the Walse" at Dietzenrode and forms the border to Hesse. Passing the legendary Kronenmühle (which is still in operation today), the road winds uphill through a valley landscape, which is considered to be the so-called Eichsfeldische Schweiz (Eichsfeld Switzerland), to Mackenrode, which is one of the most beautiful Eichsfeld villages due to its impressive location and its well-kept village appearance.

An der legendären Kronenmühle (die heute noch in Betrieb ist) vorüber windet sich die Straße durch eine Tallandschaft, die man zur sogenannten Eichsfeldischen Schweiz rechnet, bergan nach Mackenrode, das auf Grund seiner eindrucksvollen Lage und seines gepflegten Dorfbildes zu den schönsten Eichsfelddörfern gehört.
