About: Gumpelstadt

Der Ortsteil Gumpelstadt befindet sich im Moorgrund, einer natürlichen Senke zwischen dem westlichen Thüringer Wald und dem Werratal - ca. 5 km nordöstlich der Stadt Bad Salzungen und 16 km südlich von Eisenach. Entwicklung Gumpelstadt gehörte nach einer Gebietsreform im Jahre 1994 zur Gemeinde Moorgrund und ist seit Dezember 2020 Ortsteil der Kreisstadt Bad Salzungen. In den Jahren 2004 bis 2008 wurde der Ort als anerkannter Förderschwerpunkt zur Dorferneuerung aufwendig saniert. 2007 feierte der Ort sein 1100-jähriges Bestehen. Mit Fertigstellung der Ortsumgehung der Bundesstraße 19 im Jahre 2011 hat sich die Wohnqualität nochmals gesteigert. Gumpelstadt zählt 939 Einwohner (Stand 07.01.2020) und verfügt über eine eigene Grundschule. Weit bekannt wurde Gumpelstadt in der Zeit von 1956 bis 1989 als Austragungsort zahlreicher Welt- und Europameisterschaften im Motocross. Aus Gründen des Naturschutzes wurde die Rennstrecke „Alte Warth“ 1990 geschlossen. Heute wird die Motocross-Tradition auf den Rennstrecken am benachbarten Heiligenberg und am Dammberg bei Bad Salzungen fortgesetzt. Wandern und Erholung In der Gemarkung Gumpelstadt laden der Lutherweg, der Pummpälzweg, der Uhrenweg sowie der landwirtschaftliche Informationsweg und der Tannhäuser Radweg die Wanderer und Radfahrer ein, die reizvolle Landschaft zu erkunden. Développement Après une réforme territoriale en 1994, Gumpelstadt faisait partie de la commune de Moorgrund et est depuis décembre 2020 un quartier du chef-lieu de district de Bad Salzungen. Entre 2004 et 2008, le village a été rénové à grands frais en tant que centre de promotion reconnu pour la rénovation des villages. En 2007, le village a fêté son 1100e anniversaire. Avec l'achèvement du contournement de la route fédérale 19 en 2011, la qualité de vie s'est encore améliorée. Gumpelstadt compte 939 habitants (au 07.01.2020) et dispose de sa propre école primaire. De 1956 à 1989, Gumpelstadt est devenue célèbre pour avoir accueilli de nombreux championnats du monde et d'Europe de motocross. Pour des raisons de protection de la nature, le circuit "Alte Warth" a été fermé en 1990. Aujourd'hui, la tradition du motocross se poursuit sur les circuits du Heiligenberg voisin et du Dammberg près de Bad Salzungen. Randonnée et détente Dans le district de Gumpelstadt, le chemin de Luther, le chemin de Pummpälz, le chemin de l'horloge ainsi que le chemin d'information agricole et la piste cyclable de Tannhäuser invitent les randonneurs et les cyclistes à explorer le charmant paysage. The district of Gumpelstadt is located in the Moorgrund, a natural depression between the western Thuringian Forest and the Werra Valley - approx. 5 km north-east of the town of Bad Salzungen and 16 km south of Eisenach. Development After a territorial reform in 1994, Gumpelstadt belonged to the municipality of Moorgrund and has been part of the district town of Bad Salzungen since December 2020. Between 2004 and 2008, the village was extensively renovated as a recognized focus of support for village renewal. In 2007, the village celebrated its 1100th anniversary. With the completion of the bypass around the B19 trunk road in 2011, the quality of life has improved even further. Gumpelstadt has 939 inhabitants (as of 07.01.2020) and has its own elementary school. Gumpelstadt became widely known between 1956 and 1989 as the venue for numerous world and European motocross championships. The "Alte Warth" race track was closed in 1990 for reasons of nature conservation. Today, the motocross tradition is continued on the race tracks on the neighboring Heiligenberg and on the Dammberg near Bad Salzungen.
