About: Oberwirbach

Oberwirbach est le quartier le plus élevé de Bad Blankenburg. (constituée en 1993) Oberwirbach possède une église de village romane du 13e siècle qui vaut la peine d'être vue. Dans le passé, il y avait plusieurs carrières dans la région, où l'on extrayait des ébauches pour la production de crayons en ardoise. Les randonneurs peuvent suivre des sentiers forestiers idylliques depuis le paisible village jusqu'aux vallées latérales de la Schwarzatal, qui ressemblent à des gorges.

Oberwirbach is the highest situated district of Bad Blankenburg. (incorporated in 1993) Oberwirbach has a Romanesque village church worth seeing from the 13th century. In former times there were several quarries in the area, in which blanks for the slate stylus production were won. Hikers can follow idyllic forest paths from the tranquil village down into the gorge-like side valleys of the Schwarzatal.

Oberwirbach ist der höchst gelegene Bad Blankenburger Ortsteil und wurde 1993 eingemeindet. Oberwirbach besitzt eine sehenswerte romanische Dorfkirche aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Früher befanden sich in der Umgebung mehrere Steinbrüche, in denen Rohlinge zur Schiefergriffelherstellung gewonnen wurden. Wanderer können auf idyllischen Waldpfaden vom beschaulichen Dorf abwärts in die schluchtenartigen Seitentäler des Schwarzatales gelangen.
