The Hofwiesenpark is the largest park in the Otto Dix city of Gera and offers wide green spaces, an interesting terrain profile and many recreational opportunities. It is located in the middle of the Untermhaus cultural area in the immediate vicinity of the city centre. The enchanting idyll of this green oasis on the river attracts Gera residents and guests from near and far at any time of year. On 30 hectares, the Hofwiesenpark offers large meadows, shady trees and a seasonally changing splendour of blossoms as well as varied and exciting cultural, play and sports activities. Throughout the park, action islands are embedded in hedge ovals. These include the event oval in the south of the site, with the Hofwiesenpark stage and the partnership gardens, and the play oval with the adventurous giant bird world at the northern entrance.

Der Hofwiesenpark ist die größte Parkanlage der Otto-Dix-Stadt Gera und bietet weite Grünflächen, ein interessantes Geländeprofil und viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Er liegt inmitten des Kulturareals Untermhaus in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Stadtzentrum. Die zauberhafte Idylle dieser grünen Oase am Fluss ist zu jeder Jahreszeit Anziehungspunkt für die Geraer und Gäste aus nah und fern. Auf 30 Hektar bietet der Hofwiesenpark große Wiesen, schattenspendende Bäume und eine jahreszeitlich wechselnde Blütenpracht sowie abwechslungsreiche und spannende Kultur-, Spiel- und Sportangebote. Im gesamten Park sind Aktionsinseln in Heckenovale eingebettet. Dazu gehören das Veranstaltungsoval im Süden des Geländes mit der Hofwiesenpark-Bühne und den Partnerschaftsgärten sowie das Spieloval mit der abenteuerlichen Riesenvogelwelt am nördlichen Eingang.
