Situated in an idyllic meadow valley of Suhl Switzerland, the Suhl Zoo is home to about 500 animals. Special attention is paid to keeping the animals close to nature in spacious enclosures. The zoo specializes mainly in keeping and breeding European wild and domestic animals. A wide variety of species, from Europe's smallest owl, the pygmy owl, to elk and bison, to a small collection of exotic animals in the vivarium, are part of the animal population. The encounter between humans and animals is an important concern for the zoo. The eagle owl even introduces itself by name.

In einem idyllischen Wiesental der Suhler Schweiz gelegen, sind im Suhler Tierpark ca. 500 Tiere beheimatet. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt der naturnahen Haltung der Tiere in großräumigen Gehegen. Der Tierpark hat sich vor allem auf die Haltung und Zucht europäischer Wild- und Haustiere spezialisiert. Verschiedenste Arten, von Europas kleinster Eule, dem Sperlingskauz, über Elche und Wisente bis hin zu einer kleinen Sammlung exotischer Tiere im Vivarium gehören zum Tierbestand. Die Begegnung von Mensch und Tier ist dem Tierpark ein wichtiges Anliegen. Der Uhu stellt sich sogar mit Namen vor.
