Est également appelé Langulaer Schildchen. Ce lieu est déjà mentionné dans un procès-verbal de 1785. Il y est fait état de la nudité existante et de la possibilité de son reboisement futur dans la forêt de Hainich de Vogteier. On peut en déduire que nos ancêtres se préoccupaient déjà de leur forêt de Hainich et qu'ils profitaient de toutes les possibilités pour augmenter le volume de la forêt existante. Le nom de Dornschildchen vient également du fait qu'il y avait beaucoup d'arbustes épineux dans les environs. Aujourd'hui, cet endroit est surtout utilisé pour la fête forestière de la coopérative de feuillus de Langula et constitue un point de repos central pour les randonnées sur le Rennstieg. C'est un lieu de rencontre important pour de nombreux excursionnistes des communes riveraines.

It is an important meeting point for many excursionists from the neighboring communities.
Das Dornschildchen wird auch Langulaer Schildchen genannt. Dieser Ort ist schon in einem Protokoll von 1785 erwähnt. Hier wird über die vorhandene Blöße und über die Möglichkeit ihrer zukünftigen Wiederbewaldung im Vogteier Hainichwald berichtet. Man kann daraus schließen, dass sich unsere Vorfahren auch schon Gedanken über ihren Hainichwald gemacht haben und jede Möglichkeit zur Mehrung des vorhandenen Waldbestandes nutzte. Der Name Dornschildchen kommt auch daher, dass es in der Umgebung viele Dornensträucher gegeben hat. Heute wird dieser Platz vor allem für das Waldfest der Laubgenossenschaft Langula genutzt und bildet eine zentrale Raststelle für Wanderungen auf dem Rennstieg. Er ist es ein wichtiger Treffpunkt für viele Ausflügler der Anliegergemeinden.
