Au milieu du paysage vallonné des Heilinger Heights se trouve le village de Neunheilingen avec ses 480 habitants. Neunheilingen est mentionné pour la première fois dans des documents du monastère de Fulda en 1158. Dans l'histoire des communes, le "château de Neunheilingen" joue sans cesse un rôle important. Jusqu'en 1819, le comte de Werther et son épouse, la comtesse Johanna Luise, née Reichsfrau von und zum Stein, étaient les propriétaires du château. En décembre 1776, le comte et la comtesse passent quelque temps à la cour de Weimar. C'est là que Goethe fit la connaissance de la comtesse Luise. Par la suite, il y a eu un échange constant de lettres entre le prince poète Goethe et la comtesse. La vie culturelle et sportive est marquée par l'association des pompiers, l'association de la Pentecôte et des traditions, l'association des chanteurs ainsi qu'un solide club de bowling, qui joue avec plusieurs équipes. Les seniors se réunissent régulièrement pour leur après-midi. Outre un centre commercial, il y a deux restaurants, qui sont souvent utilisés pour les fêtes de famille. Certaines entreprises artisanales ainsi que des entreprises agricoles déterminent le côté économique de la municipalité. Neunheilingen est un endroit calme et agréable, qui change et se développe constamment.

In the middle of the undulating hilly landscape of the Heilinger Heights lies the village of Neunheilingen with its 480 inhabitants. Neunheilingen was first mentioned in documents of the Fulda monastery in 1158. In the history of the communities the "Neunheilingen Castle" plays an important role again and again. Until 1819 the Count of Werther and his wife Countess Johanna Luise, née Reichsfrau von und zum Stein were the owners of the castle. In December 1776 the Count and Countess spent some time at the Weimar court. Here Goethe became acquainted with Countess Luise. Subsequently, there was a constant exchange of letters between the poet prince Goethe and the countess. The cultural and sporting life is shaped by the fire brigade association, the Whitsun and tradition association, the singing association as well as a strong bowling club, which is in play with several teams. The senior citizens meet regularly for their afternoon. Besides a shopping centre there are two restaurants, which are often used for family celebrations. Some handicraft enterprises as well as agricultural enterprises determine the economic side of the municipality. Neunheilingen is a quiet, lovable place, which is constantly changing and developing.

Mitten in der welligen Hügellandschaft der Heilinger Höhen liegt der Ort Neunheilingen mit seinen 480 Einwohnern. In Urkunden des Klosters Fulda wurde 1158 Neunheilingen erstmals erwähnt. In der Geschichte der Gemeinden spielt das Neunheilinger Schloss immer wieder eine wichtige Rolle. Bis 1819 waren der Graf von Werther und dessen Ehefrau Gräfin Johanna Luise, geb. Reichsfrau von und zum Stein Besitzer des Schlosses. Im Dez. 1776 weilte das gräfliche Paar einige Zeit am Weimarer Hof. Hier lernte Goethe die Gräfin Luise kennen. In der Folge kam es zum ständigen Briefwechsel zwischen dem Dichterfürsten Goethe und der Gräfin. Das kulturelle und sportliche Leben gestaltet der Feuerwehrverein, der Pfingst – und Traditionsverein, der Gesangsverein sowie ein starker Kegelclub, welcher sich mit mehreren Mannschaften im Spielbetrieb befindet. Regelmäßig treffen sich die Senioren zu ihrem Nachmittag. Neben einer Einkaufsstätte gibt es zwei Gaststätten, welche gern zu Familienfeiern genutzt werden. Einige Handwerksbetriebe sowie Agrarunternehmen bestimmen die wirtschaftliche Seite der Gemeinde. Neunheilingen ist ein ruhiger liebenswerter Ort, welcher sich ständig verändert und weiterentwickelt.
