BAROCKMUSIK AUF HÖCHSTEM NIVEAU Erlesene Konzertprogramme und klingende Residenzen: Das ist der GÜLDENE HERBST. Das Festival Alter Musik Thüringen lockt Jahr für Jahr ein musikbegeistertes Publikum aus ganz Deutschland und dem Ausland an an einem klingend-strahlenden Herbstwochenende zu besonders schönen und geschichtsträchtigen Orten in Thüringen. Das Festival in Gotha widmet sich 2026 dem Motto „Heimat Klänge“ und beleuchtet das Thema Heimat in der Thüringer Musikgeschichte. Neben den Bachs stehen weniger bekannte Komponisten wie Wolfgang Carl Briegel im Fokus. Erzählt wird von kulturellen Einflüssen, Reisen und Strömungen, die Thüringen im Barock prägten, ebenso wie vom heutigen Bezug moderner Komponisten zur Region. Ein Ideenwettbewerb lädt zur kreativen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Heimatbegriff ein. Mitwirkende Künstler sind u. a. die Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, die Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha‑Eisenach, das Ensemble Diderot, Bachs Erben und das Zafraan Ensemble. Erstmals besteht eine Kooperation mit dem Thüringer Landestrachtenverband. Ergänzt wird das Programm durch Vorträge und eine Podiumsdiskussion zum vielseitigen und kontroversen Thema „Heimat“.
BAROQUE MUSIC AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL Exquisite concert programmes and resounding residences: that is the GOLDEN AUTUMN. Every year, the Thuringia Early Music Festival attracts music lovers from all over Germany and abroad to particularly beautiful and historic locations in Thuringia for a resounding and radiant autumn weekend. In 2026, the festival in Gotha will be dedicated to the theme of ‘Heimat Klänge’ (Sounds of Home) and will explore the concept of home in Thuringian music history. In addition to the Bachs, the focus will be on lesser-known composers such as Wolfgang Carl Briegel. The festival will explore the cultural influences, travels and trends that shaped Thuringia during the Baroque period, as well as the relationship of modern composers to the region today. An ideas competition invites creative engagement with the concept of homeland. Participating artists include the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach, the Ensemble Diderot, Bachs Erben and the Zafraan Ensemble. For the first time, there is a collaboration with the Thuringian State Costume Association. The programme is complemented by lectures and a panel discussion on the multifaceted and controversial topic of ‘home’.
