The Willibrord Chapel, first mentioned in 1494, was a popular place of worship and pilgrimage for centuries. Believers from the surrounding villages flocked here, especially for Wendelin celebrations. In 1735, the present cemetery was built around the chapel, and in 1868, the church took on its current form. Inside, an artistically crafted Pietà of unknown origin is particularly impressive. An old Marian bell in the tower survived the military's removal of bells during World War II thanks to a courageous ruse. Today, the Protestant parish of Bad Kissingen and the surrounding area uses the chapel for church services.
