About: Handel’s Water Music at the Village Pond in Lausnitz, Händels Wassermusik am Dorfteich zu Lausnitz

A music and light show by Verwandelte Welten e.V. and Line Veranstaltungstechnik As soon as the sun sets, Handel’s Water Music will be played at the village pond in Lausnitz near Neustadt an der Orla. In keeping with the music, the surrounding trees and the vacant manor building will be illuminated. With the help of a water installation on the pond, spectacular light effects will dance to the music. The piece performed is Handel’s “Water Music,” which was originally composed for a celebration on the River Thames and therefore already has a strong connection to the thematic year WaterArt (WasserKunst). Through the lighting and staging of the village pond with illumination and water fountains, this connection is further emphasized. The text was taken from the application of the Gutshof Lausnitz for the thematic year WasserKunst. This event is part of the thematic year WasserKunst 2026.

Eine Musik- und Lichter-Show mit dem Verwandelte Welten e.V. und Line Veranstaltungstechnik Sobald die Sonne untergeht, wird in Lausnitz bei Neustadt an der Orla am Dorfteich die Wassermusik von Händel abgespielt. Passend dazu werden die umgebenden Bäume und das leerstehende Gutsgebäude beleuchtet. Mit Hilfe einer Wasserinstallation auf dem Teich werden spektakuläre Lichteffekte zur Musik tanzen. Abgespielt wird die „Wassermusik“ von Händel, die für ein Fest auf der Themse geschrieben wurde und deshalb schon einen Bezug zu unserem Themenjahr WasserKunst hat. Durch Beleuchtung und Inszenesetzung des Dorfteiches mit Licht und Wasserfontänen wird dieser Bezug unterstrichen. Der Text wurde übernommen aus dem Antrag des Gutshofes Lausnitz für das Themenjahr WasserKunst. Diese Veranstaltung ist Teil des Themenjahres WasserKunst 2026.
