Die Geschichte des idyllisch gelegenen Dörfchens Paulinzella ist auf das Engste mit der Gründung und Entwicklung des Klosters Paulinzella verbunden. Heute ist Paulinzella ein touristischer Anziehungspunkt für Besucher, Touristen und Wanderer, der über die Landstraße Rottenbach-Stadtilm oder über die Bahnstrecke Saalfeld-Arnstadt zu erreichen ist. Anziehungspunkte sind neben der romanischen Klosterruine das Museum zur Kloster-, Forst- und Jagdgeschichte im Jagdschloss, die Ausstellung "Vom Steinbeil bis zur Motorsäge" (zur Zeit auch im Jagdschloss zu sehen) und der Kräutergarten unweit der Klosterruine. Eine Vielzahl von Wanderwegen, so auch der Thüringenweg, laden zu ausgedehnten Spaziergängen und Wanderungen in sauberer, frischer Waldluft ein. Mit dem Rad kann man Paulinzella z.B. auf dem Klosterradweg erreichen. Industrielle Ansiedlungen und Landwirtschaft sind hier nicht ansässig. Wesentlich ist allerdings für das mit ca.1500 ha große Waldgebiet in der Paulinzellaer Flur die Forstwirtschaft, wo auch das gleichnamige Thüringer Forstamt seinen Sitz hat.

L'histoire du village de Paulinzella, situé dans un cadre idyllique, est étroitement liée à la fondation et au développement du monastère de Paulinzella. Aujourd'hui, Paulinzella est une attraction touristique pour les visiteurs, les touristes et les randonneurs. On peut y accéder par la route Rottenbach-Stadtilm ou la ligne ferroviaire Saalfeld-Arnstadt. Outre les ruines du monastère roman, les attractions comprennent le musée sur l'histoire du monastère, de la sylviculture et de la chasse dans le pavillon de chasse, l'exposition "De la hache de pierre à la scie mécanique" (actuellement également exposée dans le pavillon de chasse) et le jardin d'herbes aromatiques situé non loin des ruines du monastère. De nombreux sentiers de randonnée, dont le sentier de Thuringe, vous invitent à faire de longues promenades et des randonnées dans l'air pur et frais de la forêt. Paulinzella peut être atteint en vélo, par exemple sur la piste cyclable du monastère. Il n'y a pas d'établissements industriels ou agricoles ici. Cependant, la sylviculture occupe une place importante dans les 1 500 ha de forêts de la région de Paulinzella, où se trouve l'office forestier de Thuringe du même nom.

The history of the idyllically situated village of Paulinzella is closely linked to the foundation and development of the Paulinzella monastery. Today Paulinzella is a tourist attraction for visitors, tourists and hikers, which can be reached via the Rottenbach-Stadtilm country road or via the Saalfeld-Arnstadt railway line. Besides the Romanesque monastery ruins, attractions include the museum on the history of the monastery, forestry and hunting in the hunting lodge, the exhibition "From the stone axe to the power saw" (currently also on display in the hunting lodge) and the herb garden not far from the monastery ruins. A variety of hiking trails, including the Thuringian Trail, invite you to take long walks and hikes in the clean, fresh forest air. By bike you can reach Paulinzella e.g. on the monastery bike path. Industrial settlements and agriculture are not located here. However, forestry is an important part of the 1500 hectares of forest in the Paulinzella area, where the Thuringian forestry office of the same name is located.
