Der östlichste Ort des Wartburgkreises ist Tüngeda. Der Name taucht erstmals in einer Schenkungsurkunde auf, welche der heilige Lul zwischen 775 und 786 ohne Datum geschrieben hat. Das Tüngedaer Schloss wurde 1582 von Hartmann von Wangenheim erbaut und diente früher als Rittergut. Später im Renaissance Stil wieder aufgebaut und in der 1990er Jahren umfangreich saniert, befindet es sich heute in Privatbesitz. Die um 1840 erbaute und einzige Bockwindmühle im Umkreis bietet das ganze Jahr ein schönes Fotomotiv und kann jährlich zum Mühlentag unter sachkundiger Führung besichtigt werden. Östlich von Tüngeda steht am Rand des Windparkgeländes ein „Drei-Kreise-Stein“ am Drei-Kreise-Eck – hier treffen der Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis, der Wartburgkreis und der Landkreis Gotha zusammen.

Il offre toute l'année un beau motif de photo et peut être visité chaque année à l'occasion de la journée des moulins, sous la conduite d'un guide compétent. À l'est de Tüngeda, au bord du terrain du parc éolien, se trouve une "pierre des trois cercles" au coin des trois cercles - c'est ici que se rencontrent le district d'Unstrut-Hainich, le district de Wartburg et le district de Gotha.
