Zertifizierte Natur- und Landschaftsführerin Im Naturpark Thüringer Schiefergebirge/Obere Saale Regionaler Schwerpunkt: unterwegs im gesamten Naturpark Themen & Angebote: Schulangebote, Mitmachangebote, Familien, Handwerklich geschickt Die außerschulischen Lernangebote von Gabi Mewes bieten vielfältige Chancen, sich handlungsorientiert mit zahlreichen Lernthemen auseinanderzusetzen. Seit 2003 ist Gabi Mewes in ihrer Freizeit als Naturführerin im Naturpark Thüringer Schiefergebirge/Obere Saale und seit 2013 im Vorstand des Vereins Naturparkzentrum Obere Saale-Sormitz e.V. aktiv. Zudem beschäftigt sie sich mit dem Handspinnen und verarbeitet Schafwolle, Alpaka- und Angora-Wolle. Bei Spinntreffen des Handspinngilde e.V. eignet sie sich altbewährte Techniken der Wollverarbeitung an. In ihren Projekten vermittelt sie Interessantes zum Schaf als Landschaftspfleger im Naturpark z.B. am „Grünen Band“ und zum Naturprodukt Wolle mit seinen positiven Eigenschaften.
