Le refuge de montagne Schneidersgrund, situé dans un cadre idyllique et offrant une restauration rustique, se trouve sur la montagne dite "Spitziger Berg", à 707 mètres d'altitude. Par temps clair, on y jouit d'une vue sur le Dolmar, la Rhön et la ville de Zella-Mehlis. À l'extérieur, il y a entre autres une pelouse et une aire de jeux pour les petits visiteurs du refuge. Depuis 1931, on y trouve un refuge - le premier refuge a toutefois brûlé en 1978 suite à un coup de foudre, l'actuel a été reconstruit peu après à l'aide d'attelages de chevaux et à la force des bras.
The idyllically situated mountain hut Schneidersgrund with rustic hospitality is located on the so-called Spitzigen Berg at an altitude of 707 meters. From here, on a clear day, you can enjoy views as far as the Dolmar, the Rhön and the town of Zella-Mehlis. In the outdoor area there is, among other things, a lawn for sunbathing and a playground for the little hut visitors. Since 1931 there has been a hut restaurant here - the first hut, however, burned down in 1978 due to a lightning strike, the current one was rebuilt shortly afterwards with the help of horse-drawn carts and manpower.
Die idyllisch gelegene Bergbaude Schneidersgrund mit rustikaler Bewirtung liegt am sogenannten Spitzigen Berg in 707 Metern Höhe. Von hier aus genießt man bei klarer Sicht Ausblicke bis zum Dolmar, in die Rhön und auf die Stadt Zella-Mehlis. Im Außenbereich gibt es unter anderem eine Liegewiese und für die kleinen Hüttenbesucher einen Spielplatz. Seit 1931 befindet sich hier eine Hüttenwirtschaft - die erste Hütte brannte allerdings 1978 durch einen Blitzschlag ab; die heutige wurde mit Hilfe von Pferdegespannen und Manneskraft kurz danach wieder aufgebaut.
