A culinary SEGWAY tour in the footsteps of the Pope through the Eichsfeld countryside. Guided SEGWAY tour At the beginning we drive through the 875 years old beautiful village Wingerode and cross the river Leine, which rises about 8 km away from Wingerode. We enjoy the ride through the "Central Park" of Wingerode before we make our first stop after about 1.5 km at the Wingerode Lourdes Grotto. Over very well developed bike and pilgrim paths we continue to the pilgrimage chapel Etzelsbach and enjoy the beautiful landscape. We learn interesting things about the history of the pilgrimage chapel, the place itself and about the Eichsfeld people. After we have captured the impressions of this historical place, we get back on our SEGWAY and follow the Etzelsbach to a comfortable seating area. Here in the midst of beautiful nature, with the calls of the red kites making their circles above our heads, we enjoy a typical Eichsfeld breakfast. Well fortified, we follow the Haarbach and Volsbach streams to what was once the largest medieval production site in the Eichsfeld region. Here at the deserted Volsbach there were the best conditions for a glassworks location. In order to earn a little profit from their Volsbach estate, the abbess of the Beuren monastery settled glassblowers from Hesse in the 13th century. Until the 15th century, club and rod glasses, bulbous bottles and colored glasses were produced here. At the end of the SEGWAY tour we enjoy once again the SEGWAY driving fun and return along the Vols- and Etzelsbach to the starting point in Wingerode. Eine kulinarische SEGWAY-Tour auf den Spuren des Papstes durch die Eichsfelder Landschaft Geführte SEGWAY-Tour Zu Beginn fahren wir durch den 875 Jahre alten schönen Ort Wingerode und überqueren die Leine, welche ca. 8 km entfernt von Wingerode entspringt.  Durch den „Central Park“ von Wingerode genießen wir die Fahrt, bevor wir nach ca. 1,5 km an der Wingeröder Lourdesgrotte den ersten Halt einlegen. Über sehr gut ausgebaute Rad- und Pilgerwege fahren wir weiter zur Wallfahrtskapelle Etzelsbach und genießen dabei die wunderschöne Landschaft. Wir erfahren interessantes zur Geschichte der Wallfahrtskapelle, dem Ort selbst und über die Eichsfelder. Nachdem wir die Eindrücke dieses geschichtsträchtigen Ortes erfasst haben, steigen wir wieder auf unsere SEGWAY und folgen dem Etzelsbach bis zu einer gemütlichen Sitzgruppe. Hier inmitten herrlicher Natur, mit den Rufen der Rotmilane, die ihre Kreise über unseren Köpfen ziehen, genießen wir ein typisches Eichsfelder Frühstück. Gut gestärkt folgen wir dem Haarbach und Volsbach entlang zur ehemals größten mittelalterlichen Produktionsstätte des Eichsfeldes. Hier bei der Wüstung Volsbach gab es die besten Voraussetzungen für einen Glashüttenstandort. Um ein wenig Gewinn aus ihren Besitztum Volsbach zu erwirtschaften siedelte die Äbtissin des Klosters Beuren, im 13. Jahrhundert Glasbläser aus Hessen an. Bis ins 15. Jahrhundert wurden hier Keulen- und Stangengläser, bauchige Flaschen und farbige Gläser hergestellt. Zum Abschluss der SEGWAY-Tour genießen wir noch einmal den SEGWAY Fahrspaß und kehren entlang des Vols- und Etzelsbach zurück zum Startpunkt in Wingerode. Un tour culinaire SEGWAY sur les traces du pape à travers la campagne d'Eichsfeld. Tour SEGWAY guidé Pour commencer, nous traversons la belle ville de Wingerode, vieille de 875 ans, et traversons la Leine, qui prend sa source à environ 8 km de Wingerode. Nous profitons du "Central Park" de Wingerode avant de faire notre premier arrêt, après environ 1,5 km, à la grotte de Lourdes de Wingerode. Nous continuons ensuite sur des pistes cyclables et des chemins de pèlerinage très bien aménagés jusqu'à la chapelle de pèlerinage d'Etzelsbach, tout en profitant du magnifique paysage. Nous apprenons des choses intéressantes sur l'histoire de la chapelle de pèlerinage, sur le lieu lui-même et sur les Eichsfelder. Après avoir saisi les impressions de ce lieu chargé d'histoire, nous remontons sur notre SEGWAY et suivons l'Etzelsbach jusqu'à un agréable groupe de sièges. Ici, au milieu d'une nature magnifique, avec les cris des milans rouges qui décrivent des cercles au-dessus de nos têtes, nous savourons un petit-déjeuner typique de l'Eichsfeld. Bien restaurés, nous suivons le Haarbach et le Volsbach jusqu'à ce qui était autrefois le plus grand site de production médiéval de l'Eichsfeld. Ici, près du village déserté de Volsbach, il y avait les meilleures conditions pour un site de verrerie. Afin de tirer un peu de profit de sa propriété de Volsbach, l'abbesse du monastère de Beuren y a installé des souffleurs de verre de Hesse au 13ème siècle. Jusqu'au 15e siècle, on y fabriquait des verres à massue et à pied, des bouteilles ventrues et des verres colorés. Pour terminer le tour en SEGWAY, nous profiterons encore une fois du plaisir de conduire un SEGWAY et reviendrons au point de départ à Wingerode en longeant le Vols- et l'Etzelsbach.
