Tüttleben is a picturesque municipality in the Thuringian district of Gotha and a member of the administrative community of Nesseaue. The municipality is located around eight kilometers east of the district town of Gotha and around 15 kilometers west of Erfurt, directly on the B7 federal highway. The history of Tüttleben goes back a long way. The village was first mentioned in documents between 822 and 842. The Protestant church of St. Viti, which was built in the Gothic style, is an important historical building and a landmark of the town. A special highlight in Tüttleben is the only greyhound racing track in Thuringia, which is located on an 18,000 square meter club grounds. Several races are held here every year, attracting numerous visitors. Tüttleben also offers a lively community with various associations, including a local history museum, a dog sports club and a fire department association.
