Seisla is a charming municipality in the Ranis-Ziegenrück administrative community in the Saale-Orla district of Thuringia, picturesquely situated in eastern Thuringia at 354 m above sea level. The municipality comprises the districts of Seisla and Wöhlsdorf and has a total of 144 inhabitants on an area of approx. 450 ha. Seisla was founded in the 12th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1381. The village of Wöhlsdorf developed after the Second World War from small farmsteads and the preserved manor. This historical development of the village is reflected in a harmonious mixture of well-kept farmhouses and historic buildings. One historical highlight is the listed fortified church in the district of Seisla, which was built in 1230 and is one of the oldest of its kind in the Saale-Orla depression. The clubhouse in Wöhlsdorf offers space for public and private events and contributes to the village community. Thanks to village renewal, a new pond was also built in Seisla, which contributes to the attractiveness of the village. With modern broadband coverage, both districts are well equipped for the future.

Die Gemeinde umfasst die Ortsteile Seisla und Wöhlsdorf und zählt insgesamt 144 Einwohner auf einer Fläche von ca. 450 ha. Seisla wurde im 12. Jahrhundert gegründet und 1381 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Der Ort Wöhlsdorf entwickelte sich nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg aus kleinen Gehöften und dem erhaltenen Rittergut. Diese dorfgeschichtliche Entwicklung zeigt sich in einer harmonischen Mischung aus gepflegten Bauernhäusern und historischen Gebäuden. Ein historisches Highlight ist die im Jahr 1230 erbaute, denkmalgeschützte Wehrkirche im Ortsteil Seisla, die zu den ältesten ihrer Art in der Saale-Orla-Senke zählt. Das Vereinshaus in Wöhlsdorf bietet Platz für öffentliche und private Veranstaltungen und trägt zur Dorfgemeinschaft bei. Dank der Dorferneuerung wurde auch der Teichneubau in Seisla realisiert, was zur Attraktivität des Ortes beiträgt. Mit einer modernen Breitbandversorgung sind die beiden Ortsteile gut für die Zukunft gerüstet.
