Ce petit village typique de Thuringe a conservé son originalité jusqu'à aujourd'hui. L'emblème du village est un viaduc ferroviaire de 26 m de haut, inauguré en 1879. Le château d'Angelroda a été construit par Burghardt Hironymus von Russwurm de 1614 à 1618 ! Un musée d'histoire locale a été ouvert dans l'ancien bâtiment de la ferme. Des planches à laver aux culottes en dentelle, vous pourrez y admirer de nombreux objets du bon vieux temps et vous replonger dans l'histoire du village. L'église, la Schuhmannshaus et la Mämpelhaus valent également le détour. Angelroda est le point de départ de magnifiques randonnées dans les environs boisés. Les "Kammerlöcher" (trous de chambre), formations karstiques mystiques où des nains légendaires auraient joué leurs tours, méritent une mention particulière. Le 31 décembre 2019, la commune d'Angelroda a été intégrée à la commune de Martinroda.

The small, typical Thuringian village has retained its originality to this day. The landmark of the village is a 26 m high railway viaduct, which was inaugurated in 1879. The castle Angelroda was built by Burghardt Hironymus von Russwurm from 1614 to 1618! A local history museum has been opened in the former farm building. From the washboard to the lace panties, you can admire a lot of things from the good old days and take a look back into the history of the village. Also worth seeing are the church, the Schuhmannshaus and the Mämpelhaus. Angelroda is the starting point for wonderful hikes in the wooded surroundings. Worth mentioning are especially the "Kammerlöcher", mystical karst formations, in which legendary dwarfs are said to have played their mischievous tricks. On 31 December 2019, the municipality of Angelroda was incorporated into the municipality of Martinroda.

Das kleine urtypische Thüringer Dorf hat sich bis heute seine Ursprünglichkeit erhalten. Das Wahrzeichen des Ortes ist ein 26 m hohes Eisenbahnviadukt, das 1879 eingeweiht wurde. Das Schloss Angelroda wurde von Burghardt Hironymus von Russwurm von 1614 bis 1618 errichtet! Im ehemaligen Wirtschaftsgebäude wurde eine Heimatstube eröffnet. Vom Waschbrett bis zum Spitzenhöschen kann man hier vieles aus der guten alten Zeit bewundern und sich in die Geschichte des Ortes zurückversetzen. Sehenswert sind auch die Kirche, das Schuhmannshaus und das Mämpelhaus. Angelroda ist Ausgangspunkt für herrliche Wanderungen in die waldreiche Umgebung. Erwähnenswert sind vor allem die "Kammerlöcher" - mystische Karstgebilde, in denen schon sagenhafte Zwerge ihren Schabernack getrieben haben sollen. Am 31. Dezember 2019 ließ sich die Gemeinde Angelroda in die Gemeinde Martinroda eingemeinden.
