Der Platz der Generationen befindet sich in Aura a. d. Saale direkt neben der Katholischen Kirche St. Laurentius. Der Platz verfügt über einen Brunnen und einen Sandkasten. Daneben hält er auf einer Erhöhung zwei Sitzbänke bereit. In der Mitte des Platzes befindet sich eine überdachte Sitzmöglichkeit mit flexiblen Tischen. Am Rande des Platzes neben einem Wasserlauf gibt es eine kleine Sitzgruppe mit drei Bänken. Der Platz eignet sich hervorragend für eine Rast bei einem Spaziergang durch Aura a. d. Saale.
