1465 wurde Deesbach erstmals erwähnt. Es ist ein Erholungsort im Grünen im Schiefergebirge mit steilen Wald- und Wiesenhängen. Man nennt die Gegend "Die Raanz", da hier früher mit Olitäten gehandelt wurde. In Deesbach war früher auch die Glas- und Porzellanindustrie zu Hause. Für den Gast bietet der Ort reichlich frische Luft, gute Angelmöglichkeiten und Wanderwege sowie gute Wintersportmöglichkeiten. Deesbach hat die steilste Ortsstraße (22,65 %) vorzuweisen.
