Bieberstein Castle is located high on the Kugelberg in the Hofbieber district of Langenbieber. Dating back to 1150, the baroque castle has had an eventful history. Abbot Marquard von Fulda had the castle built to protect himself against robber barons. Today, the castle is home to a private school run by the Hermann Lietz Foundation, which is why the building is not open to the public. However, it is still worth visiting the castle and enjoying the beautiful view.
Le château de Bieberstein est situé en hauteur sur le Kugelberg du quartier de Langenbieber à Hofbieber. Ce château baroque datant de 1150 a connu une histoire mouvementée. L'abbé Marquard de Fulda s'est fait construire le château pour se protéger contre les chevaliers brigands. Aujourd'hui, le château abrite une école privée de la fondation Hermann-Lietz, c'est pourquoi le bâtiment n'est pas accessible au public. Mais cela vaut tout de même la peine de visiter le château et de profiter de la belle vue.
Hoch auf dem Kugelberg des Hofbieberer Ortsteils Langenbieber gelegen, ist das Schloss Bieberstein. Das Barockschloss aus dem Jahr 1150 hat eine wechselhafte Geschichte hinter sich. Abt Marquard von Fulda ließ sich die Burg zum Schutz gegen Raubritter erbauen. Heute befindet sich im Schloss eine private Schule der Hermann-Lietz-Stiftung, daher ist das Gebäude für die Öffentlichkeit nicht zugänglich. Es lohnt sich aber dennoch das Schloss zu besuchen und die schöne Aussicht auf der Aussichtsplattform zu genießen.
