In direkter Nähe entspringt der Veilchenbrunnen – eine kleine Quelle, nach der der Platz benannt ist. Von hier aus führen gepflegte Wege tief in den Thüringer Wald, entlang idyllischer Bachtäler, hinauf zu Panoramapunkten und in das Loipennetz.

Veilchenbrunnen parking lot is idyllically located in the countryside on the eastern outskirts of Oberhof. It is an ideal starting point for nature lovers, hikers and cross-country skiers looking for a peaceful atmosphere away from the town center.
The Veilchenbrunnen fountain - a small spring after which the square is named - rises in the immediate vicinity. From here, well-maintained paths lead deep into the Thuringian Forest, along idyllic stream valleys, up to panoramic points and into the cross-country ski trail network.
