Der vom Deutschen Wanderverband zertifizierte Qualitätsweg ist als Rundkurs durch das Landschaftsschutzgebiet "Mittleres Ilmtal" angelegt. Auf 26 km Streckenlänge lädt er zur Erkundung der landschaftlichen und kulturellen Vielfalt des ausgedehnten Wandergebietes südlich von Weimar ein.

thuecat:directions @de Der Qualitätswanderweg startet in Bad Berka am Parkplatz Coudray-Haus. Gleich zu Beginn geht es ca. 100 m bergauf direkt auf eine knorrige Buche zu. Wenige Meter später offenbart sich ein freier Blick ins Ilmtal auf das Dorf Hetschburg. Nach der Wanderhütte trifft man auf einen Gedenkstein, der an den großherzoglichen Leibjäger Anton Möslein erinnert und auf die ur- und frühgeschichtliche Wallburg "Martinskirche". Mit der guten Sicht zur Felsenburg, einer mittelalterlichen Anlage von Felsenkammern, verlässt der Weg den Wald und biegt links nach Buchfart ab, wo das Mühlencafé ein Wochenendtipp ist. Durch die denkmalgeschützte Holzbrücke geht es hinter der Buchfarter Mühle nach links steil bergan zur Felsenburg. Wieder im Wald geht es in Vollersroda nach rechts weiter zur Autobahnunterführung und parallel zur Autobahn rechts in den Belvederer Forst. Den Possenbach überquerend, geht es über einen Pfad zur Forststraße bergab in Richtung Hainturm, der 1828-1830 auf Veranlassung der Großherzogin Maria Pawlowna errichtet wurde. Von dort aus bergab durch die Autobahnunterführung in Richtung Carolinenturm (8,3 km). Dieser Weg führt an alten Obstbäumen entlang, vorbei an einem Fischteich in Köttendorf. Hinter dem Dorf links geht es bergab nach Oettern, wo der Weg nach rechts über die denkmalgeschützte Steinbrücke in Richtung der Casparibank führt. Dann geht es weiter nach links bis zur Wegschleife und wenig später ist der Carolinenturm auf dem 497 m hoch gelegenem Kötsch erreicht. Nach herrlichem Turmblick führt der Weg bergab zur Waldgaststätte "Müllershausen". Von dort aus sind es noch 4 km bis zum 3. Turm, dem Paulinenturm. Diesen hinter sich lassend, geht es steil bergab durch den Wald, kurz vor dem Waldsaum rechts und auf einer schönen Waldpromenade zurück zum Ausgangspunkt an der Paulinenhütte oberhalb der Stadt Bad Berka.

En traversant le ruisseau Possenbach, on suit un sentier jusqu'à la route forestière en descendant vers la tour de Hain, construite entre 1828 et 1830 à l'initiative de la grande-duchesse Maria Pavlowna. De là, on descend par le passage sous l'autoroute vers la tour Caroline (8,3 km). Ce chemin longe d'anciens arbres fruitiers, passe à côté d'un étang à poissons à Köttendorf. Derrière le village, on descend à gauche vers Oettern, où le chemin mène à droite par le pont en pierre classé monument en direction du banc Caspari. Ensuite, on continue à gauche jusqu'à la boucle du chemin et peu après, la tour Caroline est atteinte au sommet du Kötsch à 497 m d'altitude. Après une vue magnifique depuis la tour, le chemin descend vers l'auberge forestière "Müllershausen". De là, il reste 4 km jusqu'à la troisième tour, la tour Pauline. En la dépassant, on descend raide à travers la forêt, avant la lisière de la forêt on tourne à droite et on revient au point de départ à la cabane Pauline surplombant la ville de Bad Berka sur une belle promenade forestière.
