Von der erstmals urkundlich im Jahr 976 erwähnten ehemaligen Residenzstadt Altenburg aus, in der Georg Spalatin als Steuermann der Reformation von 1525 - 1545 tätig war, folgt der Weg teilweise dem Verlauf der Pleiße über Felder und Fallobstwiesen nach Mockern mit der dem Heiligen Georg geweihten Kirche. Die Saalkirche in Saara besticht durch zwei Dachreiter und eine Uhr, die anstelle der Ziffern den Spruch trägt: "NÜTZE DIE ZEIT". Als eine mittelalterliche Saalkirche präsentiert sich die Kirche von Maltis. Im Innern befinden sich wertvolle Ausstattungsstücke, die größtenteils aus der Barockzeit stammen. Ein Grabstein in Ritztechnik ausgeführt (1398) gehört zu den ältesten dieser Art. Die Gößnitzer Annenkirche stammt aus spätgotischer Zeit. Der achteckige Turmaufbau mit Kuppel und offener Laterne sind barocken Ursprungs. Beachtenswert ist das wunderschöne, in Fachwerk ausgeführte Pfarrhaus aus dem Jahr 1653. Ponitz ist vor allem durch das Renaissanceschloss und die Friedenskirche mit ihrer unverändert erhaltenen Orgel Gottfried Silbermanns bekannt. Diese wurde zwischen 1734 und 1737 als sein 40. Werk erbaut. Regelmäßig finden hier Konzerte statt.

Depuis la ville résidentielle d'Altenburg, mentionnée pour la première fois dans un document en 976, où Georg Spalatin a été pilote de la Réforme de 1525 à 1545, le chemin suit en partie le cours de la Pleiße à travers champs et vergers vers Mockern avec l'église dédiée à Saint Georges. L'église hall de Saara se distingue par deux clochers et une horloge portant à la place des chiffres la devise : "PROFITE DU TEMPS". L'église de Maltis, une église hall médiévale, présente à l'intérieur des éléments précieux majoritairement de l'époque baroque. Une pierre tombale gravée en technique de taille (1398) fait partie des plus anciennes de ce type. L'église Sainte-Anne de Gößnitz date de la fin du gothique. La structure octogonale de la tour avec dôme et lanterne ouverte est d'origine baroque. La maison paroissiale en colombage de 1653 est remarquable. Ponitz est surtout connue pour son château de la Renaissance et l'église de la paix avec son orgue Gottfried Silbermann conservé intact. Celui-ci a été construit entre 1734 et 1737 comme son 40e ouvrage. Des concerts y sont régulièrement organisés.

From the former residence city of Altenburg, first recorded in the year 976, where Georg Spalatin acted as the helmsman of the Reformation from 1525 - 1545, the route partly follows the course of the Pleiße over fields and orchards to Mockern with the church dedicated to Saint George. The church of Maltis presents itself as a medieval hall church. Inside there are valuable furnishings, mostly from the Baroque period. A gravestone executed in engraving technique (1398) is among the oldest of its kind. The Gößnitz Anne's Church dates from late Gothic times. The octagonal tower structure with dome and open lantern are of Baroque origin. Noteworthy is the beautiful half-timbered parsonage from the year 1653. Ponitz is mainly known for the Renaissance castle and the Peace Church with its unchanged Gottfried Silbermann organ. This was built between 1734 and 1737 as his 40th work. Concerts are regularly held here.
