Die Strecke ist anspruchsvoll und erfordert, durch die zahlreichen Höhenunterschiede, gute Kondition. Entschädigt wird der Wanderer durch vielfältige Natureindrücke, herrliche Ausblicke, die Wassernähe und üppige Vegetation. Bis auf die Ortslage Piesigitz verläuft der Weg durchgängig in einem Waldgürtel. Höhepunkte sind die Ausblicke auf die Kaskaden und die Staumauer, der Blick vom Grobisch aus, das Steinbruchgebiet und die Karpfenwiese.

Le parcours est exigeant et nécessite une bonne condition physique en raison des nombreux dénivelés. Le randonneur est récompensé par une diversité d’impressions naturelles, de superbes vues, la proximité de l’eau et une végétation luxuriante. À l’exception de l’agglomération de Piesigitz, le chemin suit en continu une ceinture forestière. Les points forts sont les vues sur les cascades et le barrage, la vue depuis le Grobisch, la zone de la carrière et la prairie aux carpes.

The route is demanding and requires good fitness due to the numerous altitude changes. Hikers are compensated by diverse nature impressions, wonderful views, proximity to water, and lush vegetation. Except for the village of Piesigitz, the path runs consistently through a belt of forest. Highlights include the views of the cascades and the dam, the view from Grobisch, the quarry area, and the carp meadow.

schema:value @de <p>Der Ausgangspunkt ist über Göhren-Döhlen erreichbar und befindet sich in Nähe der Erzmühle. Auf dem <strong>Wanderparkplatz</strong> befinden sich ein Rastplatz und eine Infotafel mit Wanderkarte. Wir gehen über die Wehranlage des Ausgleichsbeckens in Richtung Kaskaden. Das Ausgleichsbecken bietet sich als Badestelle an. Über einen Wiesenweg gelangen wir zu den <strong>Kaskaden</strong> (Talsperrenüberlauf) und danach zur Staumauer. Nach leichtem Anstieg blicken wir über die Staumauer hinweg auf die Weidatalsperre. Hier laden Bänke zum Verweilen ein.</p> <p>Schon 100 m weiter steht die ehemalige <strong>Bermichsmühle</strong>. Nach 1,4 km erreichen wir den Wärterhof (eine Betriebs- und Wohnanlage der Thüringer Fernwasserversorgung).
