Am internationalen Museumstag lädt die Wartburg-Stiftung ihre Gäste zu einem Rundgang durch das Museum und die Lutherstube ein. An die Dauerausstellung mit den hochkarätigen Kunstwerken der Wartburg-Sammlung schließt sich die gerade eröffnete Sonderausstellung "Schätze, Schutt, Skurrilitäten. Geschichten von der Baustelle" an. Die bildgewaltige Schau legt den Fokus auf Kurioses und Wissenswertes rund um die zahlreichen Baumaßnahmen, die sich von der Erneuerung der Wartburg unter Großherzog Carl Alexander bis zur Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts ereignet haben. Eintritt ins Museum mit Sonderausstellung und Lutherstube ist ganztägig kostenfrei.
On International Museum Day, the Wartburg Foundation invites its guests to take a tour of the museum and the Luther Room. The permanent exhibition, featuring the Wartburg Collection’s exceptional works of art, is followed by the recently opened special exhibition “Treasures, Rubble, Curiosities: Stories from the Construction Site.” This visually stunning exhibition focuses on curiosities and interesting facts surrounding the numerous construction projects that took place from the renovation of Wartburg Castle under Grand Duke Carl Alexander through to the mid-20th century. Admission to the museum, including the special exhibition and the Luther Room, is free all day.
