Als ein Teil der Kernzonen im UNESCO-Biosphärenreservat Rhön ist das Schwarze Moor ein Schaufenster der Natur und verdient besonderen Schutz. In diesem Rhöner Hochmoor ist eine Vielzahl an seltenen Tier- und Pflanzenarten beheimatet. Um möglichst vielen Besuchern diesen Naturraum nahe zu bringen, wurde der Bohlensteg eingerichtet. Auf 23 Informationstafeln entlang des Weges wird Wissenswertes über das Schwarze Moor kommuniziert. Wie fühlt es sich an, durchs Moor zu waten, was hat es mit den Moorleichen auf sich, warum ist es im Moor nass und kühl? Zu all diesen Fragen finden sich auf den Tafeln die Antworten. Am Ende des Rundweges kann man auf dem Aussichtsturm noch einmal eine Rundumsicht über das Moor genießen.

As part of the core zones in the UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve, the Schwarze Moor is a window to nature and deserves special protection. A variety of rare animal and plant species live in this Rhön raised bog. To bring this natural area closer to as many visitors as possible, a boardwalk was installed. On 23 information panels along the path, interesting facts about the Schwarze Moor are communicated. What does it feel like to wade through the bog, what is the story behind the bog bodies, why is it wet and cool in the bog? Answers to all these questions can be found on the panels. At the end of the circular route, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the bog again from the lookout tower.

En tant que partie des zones centrales de la réserve de biosphère UNESCO de la Rhön, la tourbière noire est une vitrine de la nature qui mérite une protection particulière. Cette tourbière haute de la Rhön abrite de nombreuses espèces animales et végétales rares. Pour faire découvrir ce milieu naturel au plus grand nombre, une passerelle en planches a été aménagée. Le long du chemin, 23 panneaux d'information partagent des connaissances sur la tourbière noire. Comment cela fait-il de marcher dans la tourbière ? Que sont les momies de tourbière ? Pourquoi la tourbière est-elle humide et fraîche ? Toutes ces questions trouvent leurs réponses sur les panneaux. Au bout du parcours circulaire, il est encore possible de profiter d'une vue à 360° sur la tourbière depuis la tour d'observation.
