Der Friedrichrodaer Bergbaupfad führt Sie über den Hausberg der Stadt Friedrichroda, den 572 m hohen „Gottlob“. Von ihm, aber auch vom Klinkenstein bietet sich dem Wanderer ein herrlicher Ausblick über die Stadt und den westlichen Thüringer Wald. Die GeoRoute führt über die Dodels- und die Kaempfspromenade und durch das Tal des „Schilfwassers“.Ganz nebenbei passieren Sie einige Quellen und heilkräftige Trinkbrunnen. An dieser GeoRoute steht Friedrichroda als Bergstadt im Mittelpunkt. Die mindestens 400jährige bergmännische Tradition des Ortes ist noch gut sichtbar. Auf der Tour finden Sie nahezu auf Schritt und Tritt ehemalige Stolleneingänge, aufgelassene Steinbrüche und Pingen. Abgebaut wurde unter anderem Eisenerz, Manganerz, Rhyolith-Schotter, plattige Sandsteine und Gips. Das ehemalige Gipsbergwerk im Abtsberg ist heute wegen seiner wundervollen Kristallgrotte deutschlandweit bekannt. Le sentier minier de Friedrichroda vous emmène sur la montagne locale de la ville de Friedrichroda, le « Gottlob » haut de 572 m. De là, ainsi que du Klinkenstein, le randonneur bénéficie d'une vue magnifique sur la ville et la partie ouest de la forêt de Thuringe. La GeoRoute passe par les promenades Dodels et Kaempf ainsi que par la vallée du « Schilfwassers ». En chemin, vous croiserez plusieurs sources et fontaines d'eau potable aux vertus curatives. Cette GeoRoute met Friedrichroda en avant en tant que ville minière. La tradition minière d'au moins 400 ans est encore bien visible. Sur la route, vous trouverez presque à chaque pas d'anciens accès aux galeries, des carrières abandonnées et des tenailles. Ont été exploités entre autres du minerai de fer, de manganèse, du gravier rhyolithe, du grès feuilleté et du gypse. L'ancienne mine de gypse dans l'Abtsberg est aujourd'hui célèbre dans toute l'Allemagne pour sa merveilleuse grotte de cristaux. The Friedrichroda Mining Trail leads you over the local mountain of the town Friedrichroda, the 572 m high “Gottlob”. From there, but also from the Klinkenstein, hikers enjoy a wonderful view over the town and the western Thuringian Forest. The GeoRoute passes the Dodels and Kaempf promenades and goes through the valley of the “Schilfwasser”. Along the way, you will also pass several springs and curative drinking fountains. The main focus of this GeoRoute is Friedrichroda as a mining town. The at least 400-year-old mining tradition of this place is still clearly visible. Along the route you will find former mine entrances, abandoned quarries, and mining pits almost everywhere. Iron ore, manganese ore, rhyolite gravel, platy sandstones, and gypsum were mined here. The former gypsum mine at Abtsberg is now nationally famous for its wonderful crystal cave.
