Auf einer Strecke von 5,8 Kilometern bietet der zertifizierte Familienwanderweg eine Kombination aus sagenhaften Aussichten, unberührter Natur und Umweltwissen. Mitten im UNESCO-Biosphärenreservat Rhön gelegen, wurde der Hexenpfad als Umweltbildungsangebot vom Landschaftspflegeverband Thüringer Rhön e.V. entwickelt. Der Weg beginnt am Schullandheim Fischbach, wo ein Naturspielplatz und zutrauliche Lamas und Alpakas auf die Wanderer warten. Die erste Station ist eine märchenhafte Fotowand. Entlang des Weges gibt es viele weitere Informations- und Erlebnispunkte, darunter eine Hexenfigur an einem Aussichts- und Informationspunkt. Nach einem leichten Anstieg erreicht man einen uralten, mystischen Buchenwald, wo Kinder auf einem Spielplatz nach Herzenslust klettern können. Ein Wiesenpfad führt hoch über das Tal der Felda und bietet Einblicke in eine besondere Flora und Fauna. Vielleicht begegnet man sogar der eigentlichen Namensgeberin des Pfades – der seltenen Schmetterlingsart Berghexe. Der Hexenpfad bietet ebenfalls tierische Erlebnisse: Weitsprung mit Waldtieren. An einem anderen Punkt können Wanderer fossile Schätze und einen Wasserspielplatz entdecken. Ein idyllischer Rastplatz unter alten Linden lädt zum Verweilen ein, bevor der Weg am Südhang des Umpfen durch einen Nadelwald führt. Hier kann man sein Geschick beim Zapfenweitwurf unter Beweis stellen. Die Wanderung endet schließlich auf einem Feldweg am Ortsrand von Fischbach mit Blick auf den gleichnamigen sprudelnden Bach, bevor man zum Ausgangspunkt zurückkehrt.

On a stretch of 5.8 kilometers, the certified family hiking trail offers a combination of fabulous views, untouched nature, and environmental knowledge. Located in the middle of the UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve, the Hexenpfad was developed as an environmental education offer by the Landscape Management Association Thuringian Rhön e.V. The path begins at the Fischbach school camp, where a nature playground and friendly llamas and alpacas await hikers. The first station is a fairy-tale photo wall. Along the path, there are many other information and experience points, including a witch figure at a viewing and information point. After a slight ascent, one reaches an ancient, mystical beech forest, where children can climb to their hearts’ content on a playground. A meadow path leads high above the Felda valley and offers insights into a special flora and fauna. Perhaps one even encounters the actual name-giver of the path – the rare butterfly species Mountain Witch. The Hexenpfad also offers animal experiences: long jump with forest animals. At another point, hikers can discover fossil treasures and a water playground. An idyllic rest area under old lime trees invites to linger before the path leads on the south slope of the Umpfen through a coniferous forest. Here you can test your skill at cone throwing. The hike finally ends on a field path on the outskirts of Fischbach with a view of the namesake bubbling brook before returning to the starting point.

Situé au cœur de la réserve de biosphère UNESCO de la Rhön, le sentier des sorcières a été développé comme une offre d’éducation environnementale par l’association de gestion des paysages Rhön de Thuringe e.V. Le chemin commence au centre de vacances scolaire Fischbach, où une aire de jeux naturelle et des lamas et alpagas familiers attendent les randonneurs. La première station est un mur photo féerique. Le long du chemin, il y a de nombreux autres points d’information et d’expérience, y compris une figure de sorcière à un point de vue et d’information. La randonnée se termine finalement sur un chemin de campagne à la périphérie de Fischbach avec vue sur le ruisseau du même nom qui jaillit, avant de revenir au point de départ.
