Der Storchenstieg ist vor allem ein Angebot an Familien mit Kindern. Auf rund 6 km Länge gibt es allerlei Vergnügliches und Wissenswertes rund um das Thema Storch. Der Weg startet am Wandertreff neben dem , führt am Museum und dem Bohrturm mit Storchennest vorbei zur Storchenwiese. Mit Hilfe von vier Info-Tafeln werden Kinder und Erwachsene zu richtigen Storchen-Experten. Im Ortsteil Kloster beginnt der Aufstieg zum Frankenstein, dem Hausberg der Salzunger. Oben angekommen warten die Kunstruine mit dem Aussichtsturm, das Grüne Klassenzimmer und der Waldspielplatz darauf, erobert zu werden. Hier gibt es außerdem eine Möglichkeit zur Einkehr. Nach einer kleinen Lasso-Runde geht es auf dem gleichen Weg zurück. Wer noch Kraft hat, kann sich auf der Erlebnis-Insel mit dem Piratenschiff austoben oder eine Runde Minigolf spielen. Ein Besuch im Gradierwerk oder im benachbarten Cafe runden den Wandertag ab.

Le Storchenstieg est avant tout une offre pour les familles avec enfants. Sur environ 6 km, il y a plein de choses amusantes et instructives autour du thème de la cigogne. Le chemin commence au point de rencontre de randonnée à côté du , passe devant le musée et la tour de forage avec un nid de cigognes jusqu'à la prairie aux cigognes. Grâce à quatre panneaux d'information, enfants et adultes deviennent de vrais experts en cigognes. Dans le quartier Kloster commence la montée vers le Frankenstein, la montagne locale de Salzungen. Arrivés en haut, la ruine artistique avec la tour d'observation, la salle de classe verte et l'aire de jeux forestière attendent d'être explorées. Il y a également une possibilité de restauration. Après une petite boucle en lasso, retour par le même chemin. Ceux qui ont encore de l'énergie peuvent se défouler sur l'île d'aventure avec le bateau de pirates ou jouer une partie de mini-golf. Une visite au Gradierwerk ou au café voisin complète cette journée de randonnée.

The Stork Trail is primarily an offer for families with children. Over a length of about 6 km, there is all sorts of fun and interesting facts about storks. The path starts at the hiking meeting point next to the , passes the Museum and the drilling tower with stork's nest towards the stork meadow. With the help of four information boards, children and adults become real stork experts. In the Kloster district, the ascent to Frankenstein, the local mountain of Salzungeners, begins. At the top, the art ruins with the observation tower, the green classroom, and the forest playground are waiting to be explored. There is also an option to stop for refreshments. After a small lasso round, it goes back the same way. Those with remaining energy can play on the adventure island with the pirate ship or enjoy a round of mini golf. A visit to the graduation tower or the adjacent cafe completes the hiking day.
