Wen der kleine Hunger packt, wird in den regionalen Gaststätten mit herzhafter Thüringer Küche verwöhnt. Auch die Campingplätze der Region, das Ferienland Crispendorf mit seiner Parkeisenbahn, die altehrwürdige Nikolauskapelle in Dörflas und das Ziegenrücker Wasserkraftmuseum begeistern jährlich zahlreiche Besucher und sind durchaus noch einen Abstecher wert. Der Rundwanderweg kann auch in Kombination mit dem angrenzenden Hohenwarte Stausee Weg begangen werden, der Sie auf einer Länge von 75 Kilometern einmal um die viertgrößte Talsperre Deutschlands führt.

The circular hiking trail can also be combined with the adjacent Hohenwarte reservoir trail, which takes you on a length of 75 kilometers around Germany's fourth largest reservoir.
