Startpunkt ist der Wernerplatz – von der Tourist-Information erreichen Sie diesen gut über die Parkstraße oder die Esplanade und vorbei an der Friedenskirche. Nach dem Start führt der Weg immer am Waldrand entlang erst allmählich, dann etwas steiler bergan bis zum Gleisdreieck. Am Gleisdreieck biegen Sie rechts ab und folgen der Linsenkopfstraße, der gut befestigte Weg geht leicht bergab. An der nächsten größeren Wegkreuzung biegen Sie ab nach rechts auf die Triniusstraße in Richtung Burgruine. Von hier führt der Marienweg, ein weicher Waldweg, über das Ida-Denkmal allmählich in Serpentinen bergab zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.

Au prochain grand carrefour, tournez à droite sur la Triniusstraße en direction de la ruine du château. De là, le Marienweg, un chemin forestier doux, descend en lacets progressivement via le monument Ida jusqu'au point de départ.

The starting point is Wernerplatz – you can reach it easily from the tourist information via Parkstraße or the Esplanade and past the Friedenskirche. After the start, the path runs always along the forest edge, first gradually, then a bit steeper uphill to the Gleisdreieck. At the Gleisdreieck, turn right and follow the Linsenkopfstraße, the well-maintained path gently slopes downhill. At the next larger intersection, turn right onto Triniusstraße toward the castle ruins. From here, the Marienweg, a soft forest path, gradually descends in switchbacks past the Ida Monument back to the starting point.
