Hier habe ich ganz in der Nähe meines Heimatortes Floh-Seligenthal das Skilaufen erlernt. Auch meine einstigen Vorbilder Sven Fischer und Kati Wilhelm haben hier ihre ersten Grundlagen erlernt. Die Aussichten in die Täler, die Idylle der Bergwiesen, die Fahrt durch die Mischwälder und die Ruhe am Bergsee Ebertswiese, all das genieße ich immer wieder gern. Meine Empfehlung ist den Parkplatz „Neue Ausspanne“ anzusteuern. Dieser liegt direkt am Rennsteig und ist ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für Langlauftouren. Hier befindet sich auch das 2014 eröffnete Rennsteighaus mit Imbiss, sanitären Einrichtungen, einem Wachsbock und Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Von dort aus fährt man sich auf der Strecke Richtung Bergsee Ebertswiese erstmal warm und bekommt gleichzeitig landschaftlich bereits richtig was geboten. Zurück geht es auf dem Rennsteig zur "Neuen Ausspanne". Nach diesen ersten 9 Kilometer leichterer Strecke kommt jetzt der sportliche Teil: der Aufstieg zum sogenannten Sperrhügel. Die 180 Höhenmeter auf 3,2 Kilometern spürt man auch als Profisportlerin ordentlich in den Beinen. Die darauffolgende Abfahrt bis zur Bergwacht an der Neuhöfer Wiese macht dafür gleich doppelt so viel Spaß. Am Wochenende ist dort die Vereinshütte der Bergwacht geöffnet und bietet Getränke und einen kleinen Imbiss. Der Abschluss der Tour ist wieder eine wirkliche Genussstrecke mit wenig Steigungen und vielen Aussichten auf dem Rennsteig Skiwanderweg. Gespurt ist auf den 21 Gesamtkilometern einseitig klassisch mit einem Skatingbereich. Von Oberhof aus kann man übrigens direkt über den Rennsteig zur „Neuen Ausspanne“ fahren. Ich nutze dieses Extratraining gerne und habe dann bis zum Bergsee Ebertswiese und zurück knapp 42 Kilometer in den Beinen. Wer sich mal richtig auspowern will, kann mir gerne nacheifern.

I learned to ski very close to my hometown Floh-Seligenthal. My former role models Sven Fischer and Kati Wilhelm also learned their basics here. I always enjoy the views into the valleys, the idyll of the mountain meadows, the ride through the mixed forests, and the peace at the mountain lake Ebertswiese. My recommendation is to head to the "Neue Ausspanne" parking lot. It is located directly on the Rennsteig trail and is an excellent starting point for cross-country skiing routes. Also located here is the Rennsteighaus, opened in 2014, with a snack bar, sanitary facilities, a waxing bench, and places to rest. From there, you warm up on the route towards the mountain lake Ebertswiese while already enjoying beautiful landscapes. On the way back, you follow the Rennsteig to the "Neue Ausspanne". After these first 9 kilometers of easier terrain, the sporty part begins: the ascent to the so-called Sperrhügel. You really feel the 180 meters of elevation over 3.2 kilometers in your legs, even as a professional athlete. The subsequent descent down to the mountain rescue station at Neuhöfer Wiese is twice as much fun. On weekends, the mountain rescue club hut is open there, offering drinks and a small snack. The end of the route is once again a real pleasure section with few inclines and many views along the Rennsteig ski trail. The 21 kilometers in total are groomed on one side for classic skiing with a skating area. From Oberhof, you can also ski directly along the Rennsteig to the "Neue Ausspanne". I like to use this for extra training, resulting in almost 42 kilometers to the mountain lake Ebertswiese and back. Those who want to really push themselves can gladly follow my example.

J'ai appris à skier tout près de mon lieu d'origine, Floh-Seligenthal. Mes anciens modèles, Sven Fischer et Kati Wilhelm, ont également acquis leurs premières bases ici. J'apprécie toujours les vues sur les vallées, l'idylle des prairies de montagne, la traversée des forêts mixtes, et le calme au lac de montagne Ebertswiese. Je recommande de viser le parking "Neue Ausspanne". Il est situé directement au Rennsteig et constitue un excellent point de départ pour les parcours de ski de fond. On y trouve aussi la maison Rennsteighaus inaugurée en 2014, avec un snack, des installations sanitaires, un support à fart, et des espaces pour se détendre. De là, on s'échauffe d'abord sur la piste en direction du lac de montagne Ebertswiese tout en profitant déjà d'un paysage remarquable. Le retour se fait par le Rennsteig vers la "Neue Ausspanne". Après ces premiers 9 kilomètres de parcours plus facile vient la partie sportive : la montée dite du Sperrhügel. Les 180 mètres de dénivelé sur 3,2 kilomètres se font bien sentir dans les jambes, même pour une sportive professionnelle. La descente suivante jusqu'à la patrouille de montagne à la Neuhöfer Wiese est deux fois plus amusante. Le week-end, la cabane du club de la patrouille de montagne est ouverte et propose boissons et petites collations. La fin du parcours est à nouveau une vraie balade plaisir avec peu de montées et de nombreuses vues sur le sentier de randonnée skiable Rennsteig. La piste est préparée sur les 21 kilomètres au total d'un seul côté en classique avec une zone skating. Depuis Oberhof, on peut d'ailleurs directement rejoindre la "Neue Ausspanne" via le Rennsteig. J'aime utiliser cet extra-entraîne-ment et cela me fait presque 42 kilomètres aller-retour jusqu'au lac de montagne Ebertswiese. Ceux qui veulent vraiment se dépenser peuvent volontiers me suivre.
