Die Tour führt uns vom Dreiländereck entlang der Langen Rhön zunächst durch weitgehend offene Landschaft. Atemberaubende Weitblicke in die rhöner Winterlandschaft belohnen entlang der Strecke. Den Stirnberg hinauf und weiter zur Schornhecke führt uns der Weg anschließend in Richtung hessische Rhön. Ein Blick in die Ferne lohnt sich - dort sind der Berg Heidelstein und die schneebedeckte Wasserkuppe zu sehen. Weiter geht es ins Loipenzentrum nahe des Roten Moors. Zurück in der bayerischen Rhön folgen wir der Strecke zum Holzberg und durch verschneiten Rhöner Winterwald über den Gipfel Münzkopf wieder ins Loipenzentrum zurück. Von dort aus geht es retour in Richtung Schwarzes Moor zu unserem Ausgangspunkt. Bitte achten Sie aus Gründen der Sicherheit insbesondere am Stirnberg auf die Laufrichtung bei der Vor-Ort-Beschilderung. Mit dem Jagdschloss Holzberghof, dem Haus am Roten Moor sowie dem Kiosk am Schwarzen Moor und dem Gasthof Sennhütte am Dreiländereck gibt es viele Einkehrmöglichkeiten entlang des Weges.

Le parcours nous conduit du Dreiländereck le long des Langen Rhön d'abord à travers un paysage largement ouvert. Des vues imprenables sur le paysage hivernal de la Rhön récompensent tout au long du parcours. La montée au Stirnberg puis vers la Schornhecke nous conduit ensuite en direction de la Rhön hessoise. Un regard au loin en vaut la peine - on y aperçoit la montagne Heidelstein et la Wasserkuppe enneigée. Ensuite, on rejoint le centre de pistes de ski de fond près du Roten Moor. De retour dans la Rhön bavaroise, on suit le parcours jusqu'au Holzberg et à travers la forêt hivernale enneigée de la Rhön, on rejoint le sommet du Münzkopf puis de nouveau le centre de pistes de ski de fond. De là, on retourne vers le Schwarzes Moor, notre point de départ. Pour des raisons de sécurité, veuillez particulièrement au Stirnberg respecter le sens de circulation indiqué sur place. Avec le Jagdschloss Holzberghof, la maison au Roten Moor, ainsi que le kiosque au Schwarzes Moor et le Gasthof Sennhütte au Dreiländereck, de nombreuses possibilités de restauration se trouvent le long du parcours.

The route leads us from the tri-border area along the Lange Rhön initially through largely open landscape. Breathtaking panoramic views of the Rhön winter landscape reward us along the way. The path then leads us up Stirnberg and further to Schornhecke towards the Hessian Rhön. A look into the distance is worthwhile – there you can see Mount Heidelstein and the snow-covered Wasserkuppe. The route continues to the cross-country ski center near the Rotes Moor. Back in the Bavarian Rhön, we follow the route to Holzberg and through snowy Rhön winter forest over the Münzkopf peak back to the cross-country ski center. From there, it goes back towards Schwarzes Moor to our starting point. For safety reasons, please pay particular attention to the direction of travel at Stirnberg based on the on-site signage. With the Hunting Lodge Holzberghof, the House at the Rotes Moor, as well as the kiosk at Schwarzes Moor and the Sennhütte inn at the tri-border area, there are many places to stop along the way.
