Auf dieser Strecke ist man auf den höchsten Höhen des Thüringer Waldes unterwegs und kommt an vielen bekannten Aussichten entlang des Rennsteiges vorbei. Gestartet wird nahe des Schneekopfs, welcher direkt einen unglaublichen Weitblick bietet bei schönem Wetter und die höchste Erhebung unserer Tour sein wird. Weiter geht es über die Güldene Brücke bis zum Restaurant Mönchshof und weiter zur Hohen Warte mit Aussichtsturm. Beide Varianten sind auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert für eine Einkehr.   Grüne Fichtenwälder, weite Blicke und eine Mischung aus naturnahen breiten und schmalen Wegen und befestigten Forstwegen zeichnen diese Tour aus. Kurz vor Ende passieren wir noch die Suhler Hütte, welche zum Resümieren der Tour einlädt.

On this route, you travel at the highest heights of the Thuringian Forest and pass many well-known viewpoints along the Rennsteig. The start is near the Schneekopf, which offers an incredible panoramic view in good weather and will be the highest elevation of our route. It continues over the Golden Bridge to the Mönchshof restaurant and then to the Hohe Warte with viewing tower. Both options are definitely recommended for a stop.  Green spruce forests, wide views, and a mix of natural broad and narrow paths and paved forest roads characterize this route. Shortly before the end, we also pass the Suhler Hut, which invites you to reflect on the tour.

Sur ce parcours, on se trouve sur les plus hauts sommets de la Forêt de Thuringe et on passe par de nombreux points de vue connus le long du Rennsteig. Le départ se fait près du Schneekopf, qui offre directement une vue incroyable par beau temps et sera le point culminant de notre parcours. La route continue par le Pont Doré jusqu’au restaurant Mönchshof puis vers la Haute Garde avec sa tour d’observation. Les deux variantes sont en tout cas recommandées pour une halte gourmande.  Des forêts d'épicéas verts, de larges panoramas et un mélange de chemins larges et étroits proches de la nature ainsi que de chemins forestiers aménagés caractérisent ce parcours. Peu avant la fin, on passe encore devant la cabane de Suhl, invitant à faire un bilan de la sortie.

Thank you for your understanding and mutual consideration… our forest concerns us all! RIDE ONLY ON PATHS Never ride off-trail; otherwise, you harm nature! Respect local path closures! Forestry, cattle drives, and conservation concerns justify these. Local closures can also be justified in recreational areas. The way you ride determines the actions of authorities and administrations. On private property, you are often only tolerated. LEAVE NO TRACE Do not brake with locking wheels (except in emergencies)! Locking brakes promote soil erosion and cause path damage. Adapt your riding style to the ground and path conditions. Not every path tolerates every braking maneuver and riding style. KEEP YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE UNDER CONTROL Inattentiveness, even for a few seconds, can cause an accident. Adjust your speed to the situation. Pedestrians, obstacles, or other bikers may appear at any time in blind spots. You must be able to stop within sight! For your safety and that of others. RESPECT OTHER NATURE USERS Announce your passing well in advance. Do not startle other path users! Reduce your speed to walking pace or stop when passing. Keep in mind that other path users may notice you too late. If possible, ride only in small groups. CONSIDER ANIMALS Grazing animals and all other animals in forest and field require special consideration! Close gates after passing through. Leave the forest early at dusk to avoid disturbing animals during feeding. PLAN AHEAD Start your route as close to home as possible. Merci pour votre compréhension et votre respect mutuel… notre forêt nous concerne tous ! ROULEZ UNIQUEMENT SUR LES CHEMINS Ne roulez jamais hors des sentiers, cela nuit à la nature ! Respectez les fermetures locales des chemins ! La sylviculture, la transhumance et les exigences de la protection de la nature le justifient. Même dans les zones de loisirs, des fermetures locales peuvent être justifiées. La façon dont vous roulez influence les décisions des autorités et administrations. Sur les terrains privés, vous êtes souvent toléré. NE LAISSEZ AUCUNE TRACE Ne freinez pas avec des roues bloquées (sauf en situation d’urgence) ! Les freinages bloqués favorisent l’érosion du sol et endommagent les chemins. Adaptez votre conduite au terrain et à la qualité du chemin. Tous les chemins ne supportent pas tous les types de freinage et de conduite. GARDEZ VOTRE VTT SOUS CONTRÔLE Un moment d’inattention, même bref, peut provoquer un accident. Adaptez votre vitesse à la situation. Dans les passages non visibles, piétons, obstacles ou autres cyclistes peuvent apparaître à tout moment. Vous devez pouvoir vous arrêter en vue ! Pour votre sécurité et celle des autres. RESPECTEZ LES AUTRES USAGERS DE LA NATURE Annoncez votre passage à l’avance. Ne faites pas sursauter les autres usagers ! Réduisez votre vitesse à la vitesse d’une personne qui marche ou arrêtez-vous en les dépassant. Rappelez-vous que d’autres usagers peuvent vous percevoir trop tard. Roulez si possible en petits groupes. RESPECTEZ LES ANIMAUX Les animaux d’élevage et tous les autres animaux en forêt et campagne nécessitent une attention particulière ! Fermez les clôtures après les avoir franchies. Quittez la forêt avant le crépuscule pour ne pas déranger les animaux lors de leur alimentation. PLANIFIEZ À L’AVANCE Commencez votre parcours idéalement près de chez vous. Vérifiez votre équipement, évaluez correctement vos capacités et choisissez la région où vous voulez rouler en conséquence. Le mauvais temps ou une panne peut prolonger nettement votre parcours. Soyez préparé aux imprévus : pensez aux outils, à la nourriture et à la trousse de secours. Portez un équipement de sécurité ! Un casque peut protéger, mais ne garantit pas la vie.

Danke für euer Verständnis und eure gegenseitige Rücksichtnahme…  unser Wald geht uns alle an! FAHRE NUR AUF WEGEN Fahre nie querfeldein, du schädigst sonst die Natur! Respektiere lokale Wegesperrungen! Forstwirtschaft, Viehtrieb und Belange des Naturschutzes rechtfertigen dies. Auch in Naherholungsgebieten können lokale Sperrungen berechtigt sein. Die Art und Weise in der du fährst bestimmt das Handeln der Behörden und Verwaltungen. Auf Privatgrund bist du oft nur geduldet. HINTERLASSE KEINE SPUREN Bremse nicht mit blockierenden Rädern (außer in Notsituationen)! Blockierbremsungen begünstigen die Bodenerosion und verursachen Wegeschäden. Stelle deine Fahrweise auf den Untergrund und die Wegebeschaffenheit ein. Nicht jeder Weg verträgt jedes Bremsmanöver und jede Fahrweise. HALTE DEIN MOUNTAINBIKE UNTER KONTROLLE Unachtsamkeit, auch nur für wenige Sekunden, kann einen Unfall verursachen. Passe deine Geschwindigkeit der jeweiligen Situation an. In nicht einsehbaren Passagen können jederzeit Fußgänger, Hindernisse oder anderer Biker auftauchen. Du musst in Sichtweite anhalten können! Zu deiner eigenen Sicherheit und derer anderer Menschen. RESPEKTIERE ANDERE NATURNUTZER Kündige deine Vorbeifahrt frühzeitig an. Erschrecke keine anderen Wegenutzer! Vermindere deine Geschwindigkeit beim Passieren auf Schrittgeschwindigkeit oder halte an. Bedenke, dass andere Wegenutzer dich zu spät wahrnehmen können. Fahre, wenn möglich, nur in kleinen Gruppen. NIMM RÜCKSICHT AUF TIERE Weidetiere und alle anderen Tiere in Wald und Flur bedürfen besonderer Rücksichtnahme! Schließe Weidezäune, nachdem du sie passiert hast. Verlasse rechtzeitig zur Dämmerung den Wald, um die Tiere bei ihrer Nahrungsaufnahme nicht zu stören. PLANE IM VORAUS Beginne deine Tour möglichst direkt vor deiner Haustüre. Prüfe deine Ausrüstung, schätze deine Fähigkeiten richtig ein und wähle die Gegend, in der du fahren willst, entsprechend aus. Schlechtes Wetter oder eine Panne kann deine Tour deutlich verlängern. Sei auch für unvorhersehbare Situationen gerüstet: Denke an Werkzeug, Proviant und Erste-Hilfe-Set. Trage eine Sicherheitsausrüstung! Ein Helm kann schützen, ist aber keine Lebensversicherung.

Respektiere lokale Wegesperrungen! Forstwirtschaft, Viehtrieb und Belange des Naturschutzes rechtfertigen dies. Auch in Naherholungsgebieten können lokale Sperrungen berechtigt sein. Die Art und Weise in der du fährst bestimmt das Handeln der Behörden und Verwaltungen. Auf Privatgrund bist du oft nur geduldet.</p> <p>HINTERLASSE KEINE SPUREN Bremse nicht mit blockierenden Rädern (außer in Notsituationen)! Blockierbremsungen begünstigen die Bodenerosion und verursachen Wegeschäden. Stelle deine Fahrweise auf den Untergrund und die Wegebeschaffenheit ein. Nicht jeder Weg verträgt jedes Bremsmanöver und jede Fahrweise.</p> <p>HALTE DEIN MOUNTAINBIKE UNTER KONTROLLE Unachtsamkeit, auch nur für wenige Sekunden, kann einen Unfall verursachen. Passe deine Geschwindigkeit der jeweiligen Situation an. In nicht einsehbaren Passagen können jederzeit Fußgänger, Hindernisse oder anderer Biker auftauchen. Du musst in Sichtweite anhalten können! Zu deiner eigenen Sicherheit und derer anderer Menschen.</p> <p>RESPEKTIERE ANDERE NATURNUTZER Kündige deine Vorbeifahrt frühzeitig an. Erschrecke keine anderen Wegenutzer! Vermindere deine Geschwindigkeit beim Passieren auf Schrittgeschwindigkeit oder halte an. Bedenke, dass andere Wegenutzer dich zu spät wahrnehmen können. Fahre, wenn möglich, nur in kleinen Gruppen.</p> <p>NIMM RÜCKSICHT AUF TIERE Weidetiere und alle anderen Tiere in Wald und Flur bedürfen besonderer Rücksichtnahme! Schließe Weidezäune, nachdem du sie passiert hast. Verlasse rechtzeitig zur Dämmerung den Wald, um die Tiere bei ihrer Nahrungsaufnahme nicht zu stören.</p> <p>PLANE IM VORAUS Beginne deine Tour möglichst direkt vor deiner Haustüre. Prüfe deine Ausrüstung, schätze deine Fähigkeiten richtig ein und wähle die Gegend, in der du fahren willst, entsprechend aus. Schlechtes Wetter oder eine Panne kann deine Tour deutlich verlängern. Sei auch für unvorhersehbare Situationen gerüstet: Denke an Werkzeug, Proviant und Erste-Hilfe-Set. Trage eine Sicherheitsausrüstung! Ein Helm kann schützen, ist aber keine Lebensversicherung.</p>

Nous sommes en contact avec ThüringenForst et tous les propriétaires forestiers et faisons de notre mieux pour que la détente en forêt reste possible pour tous. Merci pour votre compréhension et votre respect mutuel… notre forêt nous concerne tous !</p> <p>ROULEZ UNIQUEMENT SUR LES CHEMINS</p> <p>Ne roulez jamais hors des sentiers, cela nuit à la nature ! Respectez les fermetures locales des chemins ! La sylviculture, la transhumance et les exigences de la protection de la nature le justifient. Même dans les zones de loisirs, des fermetures locales peuvent être justifiées. La façon dont vous roulez influence les décisions des autorités et administrations. Sur les terrains privés, vous êtes souvent toléré.</p> <p>NE LAISSEZ AUCUNE TRACE Ne freinez pas avec des roues bloquées (sauf en situation d’urgence) ! Les freinages bloqués favorisent l’érosion du sol et endommagent les chemins. Adaptez votre conduite au terrain et à la qualité du chemin. Tous les chemins ne supportent pas tous les types de freinage et de conduite.</p> <p>GARDEZ VOTRE VTT SOUS CONTRÔLE Un moment d’inattention, même bref, peut provoquer un accident. Adaptez votre vitesse à la situation. Dans les passages non visibles, piétons, obstacles ou autres cyclistes peuvent apparaître à tout moment. Vous devez pouvoir vous arrêter en vue ! Pour votre sécurité et celle des autres.</p> <p>RESPECTEZ LES AUTRES USAGERS DE LA NATURE Annoncez votre passage à l’avance. Ne faites pas sursauter les autres usagers ! Réduisez votre vitesse à la vitesse d’une personne qui marche ou arrêtez-vous en les dépassant. Rappelez-vous que d’autres usagers peuvent vous percevoir trop tard. Roulez si possible en petits groupes.</p> <p>RESPECTEZ LES ANIMAUX Les animaux d’élevage et tous les autres animaux en forêt et campagne nécessitent une attention particulière ! Fermez les clôtures après les avoir franchies. Quittez la forêt avant le crépuscule pour ne pas déranger les animaux lors de leur alimentation.</p> <p>PLANIFIEZ À L’AVANCE Commencez votre parcours idéalement près de chez vous. Vérifiez votre équipement, évaluez correctement vos capacités et choisissez la région où vous voulez rouler en conséquence. Le mauvais temps ou une panne peut prolonger nettement votre parcours. Soyez préparé aux imprévus : pensez aux outils, à la nourriture et à la trousse de secours. Portez un équipement de sécurité ! Un casque peut protéger, mais ne garantit pas la vie.</p>

We are in exchange with ThüringenForst and all forest owners and are doing our best to ensure that recreation in the forest remains possible for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and mutual consideration… our forest concerns us all!</p> <p>RIDE ONLY ON PATHS</p> <p>Never ride off-trail; otherwise, you harm nature! Respect local path closures! Forestry, cattle drives, and conservation concerns justify these. Local closures can also be justified in recreational areas. The way you ride determines the actions of authorities and administrations. On private property, you are often only tolerated.</p> <p>LEAVE NO TRACE Do not brake with locking wheels (except in emergencies)! Locking brakes promote soil erosion and cause path damage. Adapt your riding style to the ground and path conditions. Not every path tolerates every braking maneuver and riding style.</p> <p>KEEP YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE UNDER CONTROL Inattentiveness, even for a few seconds, can cause an accident. Adjust your speed to the situation. Pedestrians, obstacles, or other bikers may appear at any time in blind spots. You must be able to stop within sight! For your safety and that of others.</p> <p>RESPECT OTHER NATURE USERS Announce your passing well in advance. Do not startle other path users! Reduce your speed to walking pace or stop when passing. Be prepared for unforeseen situations: think of tools, provisions, and a first aid kit. Wear safety gear! A helmet can protect but is not a life insurance.</p>
