Peu avant Adorf, le Kammweg se divise en deux variantes. Le parcours officiel suit des chemins proches de la nature, offrant parfois de belles vues panoramiques, autour d’Adorf. La variante décrite ici est une route culturelle signalée comme "Alternative", qui traverse directement la ville d’Adorf, où la visite du musée interactif de la nacre, réouvert en septembre 2025, ou une escale au jardin botanique et à la maquette « Klein Vogtland » valent le détour.

Shortly before Adorf, the ridge trail splits into two variants. The official route leads on natural paths, partly with beautiful wide views, around Adorf. Der große Wegweiser gegenüber dem Wander- und Loipenhaus an der Vogtlandbahn, Haltepunkt Ferienpark, ist der Einstieg zu Ihrer Wanderung. Der Kammweg verläuft auf einem Pfad etwas unterhalb der Gleise der Vogtlandbahn. Wenn der Weg auf die Ortsverbindungsstraße Schöneck – Markneukirchen trifft, gehen Sie den Waldweg in Richtung Wohlbach. Wenige Meter weiter haben Sie eine bemerkenswerte Aussicht auf die Kuppenlandschaft des Vogtlandes. Hier können Sie sich einen Eindruck über die Renaturierung eines einst extensiv landwirtschaftlich genutzten Tales verschaffen. Kurz nachdem der Vogtland Panorama Weg abbiegt , folgt der Kammweg einem verwachsenen Pfad zu einem Privatgrundstück und führt Sie weiter zu den Zollhäusern vor Gettengrün, einen „Katzensprung“ von Böhmen entfernt. The ridge trail takes you past the town’s train station towards the city center. You cross the federal road B92 and the White Elster. The river originates near Asch/Czech Republic and flows into the Saale in Halle. Slightly uphill, the ridge trail runs parallel past the city center and marketplace. A visit to the Perlmutter Adventure Museum, newly opened in 2025 and offering much exciting information about the freshwater pearl mussel, is worthwhile. On the educational and hiking trail Zeidelweidetal, follow the ridge trail into the Tetterwein Valley. Here you can get an impression of the renaturation of a once extensively farmed valley. Shortly after the Vogtland Panorama Trail turns off, the ridge trail follows an overgrown path to a private property and leads you further to the customs houses before Gettengrün, a "stone’s throw" from Bohemia. On the way to and through Gettengrün, you will be accompanied by unique panoramic views. Gettengrün is also the birthplace of the cartoonist Erich Ohser, known under the pseudonym "e.o.plauen". Before reaching his birthplace with memorial plaque, you pass through the varied village of Gettengrün. Then a forest path leads uphill to Eichigt, which welcomes you with a natural swimming pool. The Obereichigt bus stop on the main road is your stage destination.</p>
