Der GeoPfad Südkyffhäuser entführt Sie in die mediterran anmutende Zechstein-Landschaft des Südkyffhäusers. Entlang des Weges werden sie auf unerwartete Fragen stoßen und überraschende Antworten entdecken. Können Steine stinken oder kann man aus Gips Brot backen? Infotafeln am Wegesrand laden zum Schnuppern und Anfassen ein. Die Barbarossahöhle ermöglicht einen Einblick in eine von weltweit zwei Anhydrit-Schauhöhlen und das Geoinfozentrum erklärt die Geologie der Region auf anschauliche Weise. Neben den Überraschungen des Untergrundes erwarten Sie zudem mehrere Panoramablicke in das Tal.

Le GeoSentier Sudkyffhäuser vous emmène dans le paysage à l’apparence méditerranéenne du Zechstein du Sudkyffhäuser. Tout au long du parcours, vous rencontrerez des questions inattendues et découvrirez des réponses surprenantes. Les pierres peuvent-elles puer ou peut-on faire du pain avec du gypse ? Des panneaux d’information au bord du chemin invitent à découvrir et à toucher. La grotte de Barberousse offre un aperçu d’une des deux grottes d’anhydrite vitrines dans le monde, et le centre d’information géologique explique la géologie de la région de manière didactique. En plus des surprises du sous-sol, plusieurs points panoramiques sur la vallée vous attendent.

The GeoTrail Südkyffhäuser takes you into the Mediterranean-like Zechstein landscape of the Südkyffhäuser. Along the way, you will encounter unexpected questions and discover surprising answers. Can stones smell or can bread be baked from gypsum? Information boards along the path invite you to sniff and touch. The Barbarossa Cave offers insight into one of the world's two anhydrite show caves, and the GeoInfo center explains the geology of the region in an illustrative way. In addition to the underground surprises, you can also expect several panoramic views into the valley.

Von da aus führt der Wanderweg immer nach Westen, so auch am Punkt Eschenecke, bis zum GeoTop Kammtal, wo nach Norden abgebogen wird. Nach 750m drehen Sie vor der Wetterstation nach Westen, um auf dem Kyffhäuser Weg zu bleiben. Dieser zweigt Hinter der Gippskuppe ein letztes mal nach Westen ab, wo Sie die Teufelsgrube, die Falkenburg und das Infozentrum an der Barbarossahöhle finden. Durch die Aue mit weitem Talblick führt Sie der Weg an der Kleinen Wipper entlang zurück nach Bad Frankenhausen.

Die Prinzenhöhle ist jederzeit öffentlich zugänglich. Glückspilze werden hier heimische Fledermausarten und überwinternde Schmetterlinge entdecken. Bitte bedenken Sie jedoch stets, dass Sie sich im Naturschutzgebiet befinden und bitte nicht die Wege verlassen. Fledermäuser und andere Tiere sollen bitte nicht gestört werden.
