Der GeoPfad Sandabbau weist auf die Sandgrube Biene und die Verwendung des Sandes für die Herstellung von Elektroporzellan und Zündkerzen hin. Dieser Wirtschaftszweig war für lange Zeit prägend für Neuhaus-Schierschnitz und die gesamte Umgebung. Die Flurbezeichnung Biene leitet sich von Pinge ab und gibt damit Hinweis auf ein altes Bergbaugebiet. Die Tour bietet dem Wanderer oder Radfahrer Erholung und Entspannung auf den naturnahen, sandigen Wegen durch die Kiefer- und Fichtenwälder der Biene und malerische Ausblicke auf Neuhaus-Schierschnitz und das Föritztal.

Le GeoSentier de l'extraction de sable attire l'attention sur la carrière de sable Biene et l'utilisation du sable pour la fabrication de porcelaine électrique et de bougies d'allumage. Ce secteur économique a longtemps été déterminant pour Neuhaus-Schierschnitz et toute la région environnante. Le nom du lieu Biene provient de "Pinge" et fait ainsi référence à une ancienne zone minière. Le parcours offre au randonneur ou cycliste détente et relaxation sur des chemins naturels, sablonneux, à travers les forêts de pins et d'épicéas de la Biene, ainsi que des vues pittoresques sur Neuhaus-Schierschnitz et la vallée de Föritz.

The GeoTrail Sand Extraction points to the Biene sand quarry and the use of the sand for the production of electrical porcelain and spark plugs. This industry was a defining factor for a long time for Neuhaus-Schierschnitz and the entire surrounding area. The field name Biene derives from Pinge and thus indicates an old mining area. The route offers hikers or cyclists relaxation and recreation on natural, sandy paths through the pine and spruce forests of Biene and picturesque views of Neuhaus-Schierschnitz and the Föritz valley.

Par le passé, du sable y était extrait en grande quantité pour la fabrication industrielle de porcelaine électrique. Le chemin monte ensuite vers le Schottenberg et le Marker Höhe, où il est agréable de faire une pause. Le chemin revient ensuite dans la vallée en passant par le quartier Mark, en empruntant une ancienne voie ferrée hors service, jusqu'au point de départ à la mairie.
