Der Wanderweg trägt zu Recht den Namen „Panoramaweg Mücheln“. Durch einen schattigen Waldweg – mit Sichtachse zum Wasserschloss St. Ulrich und auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite mit Blick zur Kirche St. Jakobi und den Barockgarten – wandern Sie oberhalb der Stadt. Lassen Sie sich von der Geiselquelle verzaubern. Die Wanderung beginnt in der Altstadt von Mücheln. Die Häuser und das im Stil der Spätrenaissance erbaute Rathaus sind Zeugnis von Wohlstand und Bürgerstolz. Entlang der plätschernden Geisel gelangen Sie auf einen schmalen Pfad, der sie bergauf in den Halbschatten des Laubwaldes führt – Sie werden von Ruhe empfangen und mit dem Blick zum Wasserschloss St. Ulrich belohnt. An der idyllischen Geiselquelle – die von alten Bäumen beschattet wird – können Sie müde Füße erfrischen. Weiter geht es zum Landschaftspark St. Ulrich. Der romantische Park mit seinen zum Teil sehr seltenen Baum- und Straucharten, seinen „Ruhenischen“ und dem Blick zum Barockgarten ist einer der Höhepunkte der Wanderung. Am Viadukt können Sie einen Blick zu dem Erholungsparadies schlechthin – dem Geiseltalsee – werfen, bevor es zurück zum Stadtzentrum geht. Tipp: Die Wanderung kann vielfach ergänzt werden. Kombinationen mit dem Mühlenwanderweg und dem Rundweg Müchelholz sind möglich, ebenso führt ein Rundweg um den Geiseltalsee.

Le long de la Geisel qui murmure, vous arrivez sur un sentier étroit qui vous mène en montée dans la demi-ombre de la forêt feuillue – vous serez accueilli par le calme et récompensé par la vue sur le château d'eau St. Ulrich. À la source idyllique de la Geisel – ombragée par de vieux arbres – vous pouvez rafraîchir vos pieds fatigués. Ensuite, continuez vers le parc paysager St. Ulrich. Le parc romantique avec ses espèces d'arbres et d'arbustes parfois très rares, ses « niches de repos » et la vue sur le jardin baroque est l'un des points forts de la randonnée. Au viaduc, vous pouvez jeter un coup d'œil sur le paradis de la détente par excellence – le lac Geiseltal – avant de retourner au centre-ville. Conseil : La balade peut être complétée de nombreuses manières. Des combinaisons avec le parcours des moulins et le parcours circulaire Müchelholz sont possibles, de même qu'un parcours circulaire autour du lac Geiseltal.

Through a shady forest path – with sightlines to the Water Castle St. Ulrich and on the opposite side views of St. Jakobi Church and the Baroque Garden – you hike above the town. Let yourself be enchanted by the Geisel Spring. The hike starts in the old town of Mücheln. The houses and the late Renaissance style town hall testify to prosperity and civic pride. Along the babbling Geisel, you reach a narrow path that leads you uphill into the semi-shade of the deciduous forest – you are welcomed by tranquility and rewarded with views of the Water Castle St. Ulrich. At the idyllic Geisel Spring – shaded by old trees – you can refresh tired feet. It continues to the St. Ulrich Landscape Park. The romantic park with its partly very rare tree and shrub species, its "resting niches," and the view of the Baroque Garden is one of the highlights of the hike. At the viaduct, you can catch a glimpse of the ultimate recreational paradise – the Geiseltal Lake – before returning to the town center. Tip: The hike can be supplemented in many ways. Combinations with the Mill Hiking Route and the Müchelholz Circular Route are possible, and a circular route also leads around the Geiseltal Lake.
