13,2 Kilometer führen dich durch dichte Wälder, über aussichtsreiche Höhenzüge und vorbei an kleinen Dörfern – mitten hinein in Natur, Kultur und regionale Besonderheiten. Startpunkt ist der Parkplatz am Gersfelder Freibad. Von hier aus läufst du nach Mosbach, wo die gemütliche Jausenstation zur Rast einlädt. Steil hinauf führt der Weg zum Schwedenwall – mit weitem Blick über das Land. Ein Höhepunkt: die Hohe Hölle. Von dort geht es über den Himmeldunkberg, wo dich ein markantes Kreuz, faszinierende Fernblicke und historische Grenzsteine erwarten. Hier verlief einst die Grenze zwischen dem Königreich Bayern und dem Königreich Preußen. Über ein idyllisches Waldstück erreichst du den Simmelsberg mit seiner besonderen Pflanzenwelt. In Rodenbach entdeckst du mit etwas Aufmerksamkeit die Überreste einer alten Skisprungschanze. Der Rodenbacher Küppel bietet zum Abschluss noch einmal Aussicht pur, bevor du zurück zum Ausgangspunkt gelangst.

13,2 kilomètres te mènent à travers des forêts denses, sur des crêtes panoramiques et à travers de petits villages – en plein cœur de la nature, de la culture et des particularités régionales. Le point de départ est le parking de la piscine de Gersfeld. De là, tu marches vers Mosbach, où une agréable station de collation invite à faire une pause. Le sentier monte raide jusqu’au Schwedenwall – avec une large vue sur la région. Un point culminant : la Hohe Hölle. De là, le parcours continue via le Himmeldunkberg, où t’attendent une croix marquante, des vues lointaines fascinantes et des bornes frontalières historiques. Autrefois, la frontière entre le royaume de Bavière et celui de Prusse passait ici. Par une parcelle forestière idyllique, tu atteins le Simmelsberg avec sa flore particulière. À Rodenbach, tu peux, avec un peu d’attention, découvrir les vestiges d’une ancienne rampe de saut à ski. Le Rodenbacher Küppel offre une dernière fois une vue panoramique pure avant que tu ne retournes au point de départ.

The path leads steeply up to the Schwedenwall – with a wide view over the land. A highlight: the Hohe Hölle. From there, it goes over the Himmeldunkberg, where a distinctive cross, fascinating distant views, and historical boundary stones await you. This was once the border between the Kingdom of Bavaria and the Kingdom of Prussia. Through an idyllic forest area, you reach the Simmelsberg with its special plant world. In Rodenbach, with some attention, you can discover the remains of an old ski jump. The Rodenbacher Küppel offers pure views once more at the end before you return to the starting point.
