Depuis le parking près de l'hippodrome, vous commencez confortablement le parcours. Ensuite, vous vous dirigez vers l'étang idyllique Erlsborn, un endroit calme pour faire une pause. Un monument naturel particulier vous attend avec le vieux chêne. Bientôt, la vue s'ouvre vers Emleben, où se présente le vaste paysage de la forêt de Thuringe, avant d'atteindre le charmant pont blanc sur le canal de Leina – un petit pont en bois qui s'intègre harmonieusement dans l'environnement. Pour une pause agréable, le restaurant « Thuringer Waldblick » propose des spécialités régionales. Un véritable point fort pour finir est le champ de tumulus de l'âge du fer ancien (environ 500 av. J.-C.), offrant des aperçus passionnants sur l'histoire de la région. Le parcours est bien balisé, emprunte principalement des chemins stabilisés et peut être réalisé en environ 2 à 2,5 heures. Il est particulièrement beau du printemps à l'automne, lorsque la forêt est en pleine explosion de couleurs.

You can conveniently start the route from the parking lot at the racetrack. Next, head to the idyllic Erlsborn pond, a quiet place to pause. A special natural monument awaits you at the Old Oak. Soon the view opens towards Emleben, where the vast landscape of the Thuringian Forest appears, before you reach the charming White Bridge over the Leinakanal – a small wooden bridge that blends harmoniously into the surroundings. For a cozy break, the inn “Thuringian Forest View” offers regional specialties. A real highlight at the end is the hill grave field from the early Iron Age (around 500 BC), which offers fascinating insights into the history of the region. The route is well signposted, mostly runs on paved paths, and can be completed in about 2–2.5 hours. It is especially beautiful between spring and autumn – when the forest is in full color.

Vom Parkplatz an der Rennbahn startet ihr bequem in die Tour.  Weiter geht es zum idyllischen Teich Erlsborn, einem ruhigen Ort zum Innehalten.  Ein besonderes Naturdenkmal erwartet euch mit der Alten Eiche. Schon bald öffnet sich der Blick Richtung Emleben, wo sich die weite Landschaft des Thüringer Waldes zeigt, bevor ihr die charmante Weiße Brücke über den Leinakanal erreicht – eine kleine Holzbrücke, die sich harmonisch in die Umgebung einfügt. Für eine gemütliche Pause bietet sich der Gasthof „Thüringer Waldblick“ an, wo regionale Spezialitäten serviert werden. Ein echtes Highlight zum Schluss ist das Hügelgräberfeld aus der frühen Eisenzeit (ca. 500 v. u. Z.), das spannende Einblicke in die Geschichte der Region bietet. Die Tour ist gut ausgeschildert, führt größtenteils über befestigte Wege und lässt sich in etwa 2–2,5 Stunden bewältigen. Sie ist besonders schön zwischen Frühling und Herbst – wenn der Wald in voller Farbenpracht steht.
