RESPEKTIERE ANDERE NATURNUTZER Kündige deine Vorbeifahrt frühzeitig an. Erschrecke keine anderen Wegenutzer!
thuecat:safetyGuidelines @en ROUTE DIFFICULTY Our MTB routes are divided into three difficulty levels: Blue routes: They mostly offer well-developed paths with gentle climbs and few technical challenges. Ideal for beginners who want to improve their skills. Red routes: They include more demanding sections with steeper climbs, technical passages, and possibly uneven terrain. Riders should already have experience and some riding technique here. Black routes: They have extreme inclines, technical difficulties like roots, rocks, or tight corners and require a high level of skill and fitness. Suitable only for the boldest and most experienced. The colors therefore represent different technical difficulty levels. The entire route is marked according to the highest difficulty level if the hardest section cannot be bypassed. For endurance and fitness, it’s best to refer to the distance and elevation gain. Route use & forest restructuring In times of bark beetle infestation and forest restructuring, we ask for your understanding that not every path is always in perfect riding condition, and sometimes you may need to walk or accept detours. We are in contact with ThuringiaForst and all forest owners and try our best to ensure that recreation in the forest remains possible for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and mutual consideration… our forest concerns us all! TRAIL RULES RIDE ONLY ON PATHS Never ride off-track, as you otherwise harm nature! Respect local path closures! Forestry, livestock drives, and nature conservation concerns justify this. Local closures can also be justified in recreational areas. The way you ride influences the actions of authorities and administrations. On private land, you are often only tolerated. LEAVE NO TRACE Do not brake with locked wheels (except in emergencies)! Locked wheel braking promotes soil erosion and causes path damage. Adjust your riding style to the ground and path conditions. Not every path can handle every braking maneuver and riding style. KEEP YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE UNDER CONTROL Inattention, even for a few seconds, can cause an accident. Adapt your speed to the situation. Pedestrians, obstacles, or other bikers can appear at any time in blind spots. You must be able to stop within sight! For your safety and that of others. RESPECT OTHER NATURE USERS Announce your passing early. Do not startle other path users! Reduce your speed to walking pace when passing or stop. Bear in mind that other path users may notice you too late. Ride only in small groups if possible. BE CONSIDERATE OF ANIMALS Grazing animals and all other animals in forest and fields require special consideration! Close gates after you pass through. Leave the forest in time before dusk to avoid disturbing animals during feeding. PLAN AHEAD Start your route as close as possible to your home. Check your equipment, assess your skills correctly, and select the area you want to ride accordingly. Bad weather or a breakdown can significantly extend your route. Be prepared for unpredictable situations: bring tools, supplies, and a first aid kit. Wear safety equipment! A helmet can protect you but is not a life insurance.

RESPEKTIERE ANDERE NATURNUTZER Kündige deine Vorbeifahrt frühzeitig an. Erschrecke keine anderen Wegenutzer!
