Der Rundweg „Um die Alte Burg“ bietet Wanderern ein eindrucksvolles Naturerlebnis. Auf der 9,8 Kilometer langen Wanderstrecke können Wanderer die Natur erkunden und erhalten fantastische Panoramaausblicke ins Eichsfeld und den Eichsfelder Kessel. Die Strecke ist gut begehbar, mit einem Höhenunterschied von 131 m, und dauert etwa 2,5 – 3 h.

Le circuit "Autour du Vieux Château" offre aux randonneurs une expérience naturelle impressionnante. Oberhalb des Gewerbegebietes biegen wir links ab, auf einen asphaltierten Weg Richtung Kleinbartloff. Dort folgen wir der Beschilderung bis zum Bildbaum. Bei einem Blick zurück haben wir eine fantastische Aussicht auf den Eichsfelder Kessel. Am Bildbaum halten wir uns links und wandern Richtung Festplatz. Wir steigen dann rechts zum Oberen Dünwanderweg, vorbei am alten Steinbruch, auf und erreichen den Oberen Dünwanderweg. Gemäß der Beschilderung halten wir uns rechts in Richtung Alte Burg. Auf der Alten Burg wird der Wanderer von einer herrlichen Aussicht auf das Eichsfeld belohnt. Eine Schutzhütte lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der Abstieg erfolgt durch den Mittelgrund Richtung Reifenstein. Nach etwa 100 m auf der Hüpstedter Straße biegen wir rechts auf den Unteren Dünwanderweg in Richtung Klostermauer ein. 300 m weiter führt ein Weg links an der Mauer entlang. Durch eine Tür gelangt man in den Klostergarten mit einen herrlich angelegtem Park. Auch die Klosterkirche lädt zu Führungen ein. Wir verlassen das ehemalige Kloster durch das Torhaus und überqueren die Straße in Richtung Pilgerweg Loccum – Volkenroda, vorbei am Hotel Reifenstein. Hinter dem Hotel biegen wir rechts ab und wandern bergab in Richtung Dingelstädter Straße. Am unteren Weg angekommen halten wir uns rechts und kommen an der Eselsquelle vorbei. Entlang der Straße laufen wir wieder zurück in Richtung Torhaus. Wir überqueren die Straße und wandern in Richtung ehemaliges Forsthaus. Nach 150 m halten wir uns rechts und biegen wieder in den Wald ein. Wir folgen den Weg entlang der Klostermauer und gelangen nach ca. 2 km wieder zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung.

Above the industrial area, we turn left onto an asphalted path towards Kleinbartloff. There we follow the signs to the picture tree. Looking back, we have a fantastic view of the Eichsfeld basin. At the picture tree, we keep left and hike towards the festival ground. We then ascend to the Upper Dune hiking trail on the right, passing the old quarry, and reach the Upper Dune hiking trail. According to the signage, we keep right towards the Old Castle. At the Old Castle, hikers are rewarded with a wonderful view of the Eichsfeld. A shelter invites you to rest. The descent goes through the Mittelgrund towards Reifenstein. After about 100 m on Hüpstedter Street, we turn right onto the Lower Dune hiking trail towards Klostermauer. 300 m further, a path leads left along the wall. Through a gate, you enter the monastery garden with a beautifully designed park. The monastery church also invites you to guided tours. We leave the former monastery through the gatehouse and cross the street towards the Pilgrim's Way Loccum – Volkenroda, passing the Hotel Reifenstein. Behind the hotel, we turn right and hike downhill towards Dingelstädter Street. At the lower path, we keep right and pass the Donkey's Spring. Along the street, we walk back towards the gatehouse. We cross the street and hike towards the former forester's house. After 150 m, we keep right and turn back into the forest. We follow the path along the monastery wall and after about 2 km reach the starting point of the hike again.

Derrière l'hôtel, nous tournons à droite et descendons vers la Dingelstädter Straße. Une fois arrivé en bas, nous prenons à droite et passons à côté de la source des ânes. Le long de la route, nous retournons vers la maison du portail. Nous traversons la route et marchons en direction de l'ancien pavillon forestier. Après 150 m, nous prenons à droite et pénétrons de nouveau dans la forêt. Nous suivons le chemin le long du mur du monastère et revenons après environ 2 km au point de départ de la randonnée.

Nous quittons l'ancien monastère par la maison du portail et traversons la route en direction du chemin des pèlerins Loccum – Volkenroda, passant devant l'hôtel Reifenstein. Derrière l'hôtel, nous tournons à droite et descendons vers la Dingelstädter Straße. Une fois arrivé en bas, nous prenons à droite et passons à côté de la source des ânes. Le long de la route, nous retournons vers la maison du portail. Nous traversons la route et marchons en direction de l'ancien pavillon forestier. Après 150 m, nous prenons à droite et pénétrons de nouveau dans la forêt. Nous suivons le chemin le long du mur du monastère et revenons après environ 2 km au point de départ de la randonnée.</p>

schema:value @en <p>We start at the Kleinbartloff festival hall and walk a short distance on the road towards Reifenstein. Above the industrial area, we turn left onto an asphalted path towards Kleinbartloff. There we follow the signs to the picture tree. Looking back, we have a fantastic view of the Eichsfeld basin. At the picture tree, we keep left and hike towards the festival ground. We then ascend to the Upper Dune hiking trail on the right, passing the old quarry, and reach the Upper Dune hiking trail. According to the signage, we keep right towards the Old Castle. At the Old Castle, hikers are rewarded with a wonderful view of the Eichsfeld. A shelter invites you to rest. The descent goes through the Mittelgrund towards Reifenstein. After about 100 m on Hüpstedter Street, we turn right onto the Lower Dune hiking trail towards Klostermauer. 300 m further, a path leads left along the wall. Through a gate, you enter the monastery garden with a beautifully designed park. The monastery church also invites you to guided tours. We leave the former monastery through the gatehouse and cross the street towards the Pilgrim's Way Loccum – Volkenroda, passing the Hotel Reifenstein. Behind the hotel, we turn right and hike downhill towards Dingelstädter Street. At the lower path, we keep right and pass the Donkey's Spring. Along the street, we walk back towards the gatehouse. We cross the street and hike towards the former forester's house. After 150 m, we keep right and turn back into the forest. We follow the path along the monastery wall and after about 2 km reach the starting point of the hike again.</p>
