Depuis Oelsnitz, vous pouvez suivre, lors de cette étape, les traces de la moule perlière d'eau douce. À Adorf, la descente mène dans la vallée idyllique de Tetterwein. Dans le ruisseau du même nom, ainsi que dans d’autres affluents de la Weiße Elster, des moules perlières ont été réintroduites artificiellement - le ruisseau était considéré comme une « bonne eau aux perles ». En 1937, la population dans le ruisseau était estimée à jusqu’à 6000 moules. Le sujet de la moule perlière joue un rôle important dans cette région. C’est pourquoi une visite au musée d’Adorf est recommandée. Vous y apprendrez, dans une exposition conçue avec amour, tout ce qu’il faut savoir sur la moule perlière, autrefois abondante dans la Weiße Elster dans le Vogtland. Avec trois parties d’exposition : mode de vie de la moule perlière, pêche à la perle dans le Vogtland et fabrication locale d’objets en nacre à Adorf, la plus grande collection sur ce thème en Allemagne a été créée. En outre, vous pouvez déjà visiter à Adorf tout le Vogtland et ses curiosités. Dans l’exposition miniature « Klein Vogtland », située dans un parc, on peut admirer des modèles miniatures très fidèles de nombreux bâtiments et destinations touristiques du Vogtland à l’échelle 1:25 à 1:100. La destination, Bad Elster, est bientôt atteinte. Et ici, le randonneur attend une véritable « valse des sources ». Rien qu’à Bad Elster, 10 sources thermales jaillissent, que l’on peut goûter dans les maisons des sources. On peut passer un moment très relaxant dans la thermes de saumure. La thermes est alimentée par une source de saumure découverte en 2009 dans la vallée de l’Elster. Il s’agit de l’héritage d’une mer primitive fermée qui était cachée et protégée depuis des millions d’années profondément dans le ventre de la terre. Ce qui a été découvert à une profondeur de 1 200 m s’avère être un véritable trésor de la vallée de l’Elster – la source de la saumure thermale de Bad Elster.

From Oelsnitz, you can hike on the trail of the freshwater pearl mussel on this stage. At Adorf, the descent into the idyllic Tetterwein valley follows. In the eponymous stream, as well as in the other tributaries of the White Elster, freshwater pearl mussels were artificially introduced – the stream was considered a “good pearl water.” In 1937, the population in the stream was estimated at up to 6,000 mussels. And the freshwater pearl mussel plays a major role in this area. Therefore, a detour to the Adorf museum is recommended. Here you can learn interesting facts about the freshwater pearl mussel in a lovingly designed exhibition, which was once found abundantly in the White Elster in Vogtland. With the three exhibition sections: lifestyle of the freshwater pearl mussel, pearlfishing in Vogtland, and the mother-of-pearl goods manufacturing based in Adorf, the largest collection on the topic in Germany has now been created. And additionally, in Adorf, you can get to know the entire Vogtland and its sights on foot. In the miniature display “Small Vogtland,” beautifully located in a park, detailed miniature models of many buildings and excursion destinations of Vogtland in scales from 1:25 to 1:100 can be admired. The destination, Bad Elster, is soon reached. And here, the hiker awaits a true “Source Waltz.” Alone in Bad Elster, 10 healing springs gush, which can also be sampled in the spring houses. You can spend a very relaxing time in the saline thermal bath. The saline thermal bath is fed by a saline spring discovered in 2009 in the Elster valley. It is the legacy of a closed ancient sea that lay hidden and protected deep in the earth's cradle for millions of years. What was discovered at a depth of 1,200 m turns out to be a true treasure from the Elster valley – the source of the Bad Elster thermal saline.

Von Oelsnitz aus kann man bei dieser Etappe auf den Spuren der Flussperlmuschel wandern. Bei Adorf folgt der Abstieg in das idyllische Tetterweintal. Im gleichnamigen Bach wurden, wie auch in den übrigen Nebenbächen der Weißen Elster, Flussperlmuscheln künstlich ausgesetzt - der Bach galt als “gutes Perlwasser”. 1937 wurde der Bestand im Bach auf bis zu 6.000 Muscheln geschätzt. Und das Thema Flussperlmuschel spielt in dieser Gegend eine große Rolle. Deshalb empfiehlt sich ein Abstecher zum Adorfer Museum. Hier erfährt man in einer liebevoll gestalteten Ausstellung Wissenswertes zur Flussperlmuschel, die einst zahlreich in der Weißen Elster im Vogtland gefunden wurde. Mit den drei Ausstellungsteilen: Lebensweise der Flussperlmuschel, Perlenfischerei im Vogtland und zur in Adorf ansässigen Perlmuttwarenherstellung, ist die mittlerweile größte Sammlung zum Thema in Deutschland entstanden.  Und außerdem kann man in Adorf schon mal das gesamte Vogtland und dessen Sehenswürdigkeiten durchwandern. In der Miniaturschauanlage “Klein Vogtland”, wunderschön in einer Parkanlage gelegen, gibt es detailgetreue Miniaturmodelle vieler Bauwerke und Ausflugsziele des Vogtlandes im Maßstab 1:25 bis 1:100 zu bewundern.   Das Ziel, Bad Elster, ist bald erreicht. Und hier erwartet den Wanderer ein wahrer “Quellenwalzer”. Allein in Bad Elster sprudeln 10 Heilquellen, die man in den Quellenhäusern auch probieren kann. Eine sehr erholsame Zeit kann man in der Soletherme verbringen. Die Soletherme wird aus einer 2009 erschlossenen Solequelle im Elstertal gespeist. Es handelt sich um das Erbe eines in sich geschlossenes Urmeeres, das seit Jahrmillionen verborgen und geschützt tief im Schoß der Erde ruhte. Was man in einer Tiefe von 1.200 m entdeckte, entpuppt sich als wahrer Schatz aus dem Elstertal – die Quelle der Bad Elsteraner Thermalsole.
